  • Into All the World
President Russell M. Nelson of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the 12 Apostles and their wives, Wendy Watson Nelson and Patricia Holland will embark on a trip on April 10th, that will literally take them around the world.  They'll travel to London, Israel, Africa, Thailand and China as part of the 13-day trip.    It isn't the first time a church President has traveled like this, but it's been more than a decade.    For President Nelson, travel has become a way of life since he was called to the Quorum of the 12 Apostles in April of 1984. From that time, a man who was a world-renown surgeon was given a different tasks, to open hearts and nations to the church.    KSL Newsradio's Marc Giauque sat down with Elder Spencer J. Condie, author of the book, "Russell M. Nelson, Father, Surgeon, Apostle"  and Justin Bray from the Department of Church History to talk about his past trips, and President Nelson's decades of outreach around the world.

  • Seeking a Path to Safety
“Seeking a Path to Safety” is a conversation between KSL’s Amanda Dickson and the leading thinkers from law enforcement, mental health, government and family about how we can keep our schools safer – and not just our schools, but our churches, theaters and other public places. How do we help the young people who have grown up never knowing a time when “school shooting” was not a thing? What can we do when we know someone who seems dangerous?   What part of the puzzle is arming our teachers or ourselves? What role does the media play, and lastly, what can each one of us do today to make a difference. Commissioner of Public Safety Keith Squires, Director of Child and Adolescent Therapy at Wasatch Family Therapy Clair Mellenthin and Former Chief of Staff to Senator Mike Lee/Current Opinion Editor of the Deseret News Boyd Matheson help us as we seek a path to safety.

  • Forgiveness and Health

The bible commands us to forgive others, and, according to some research, your health may depend on it. Doctors say letting go of grudges and bitterness can make way for happiness, health, peace, better relationships, and greater spiritual, physical and mental well-being. But not forgiving can cause anxiety, stress, and hostility. During this hour, Dr. Todd Thatcher of Valley Behavioral Health explains about how to get down to the underlying issues that may keep us from forgiving. We also have a conversation with Bishop Scott B. Hayashi of the Episcopal Diocese of Utah, about what forgiveness is, why we need it, and how it happens.

Click the link to join in her investigation and see if you can figure out why so many people are discarding religion in this modern age.
