Jade Lozankoski isn't exactly your typical pageant girl (I'm finding out there really is no such thing). For a start, she's quite petite and she boxes (the real stuff not the version you sometimes see thrown into aerobics classes).

Jade was one of the six Miss Grand competitors I didn't get to interview during the competition, so we sat down the day after it was all over to have a longer-form chat.

Kassandra Kashian says she felt oddly peaceful when she entered Miss Grand Australia in 2017. 'Pageants' and 'peaceful' aren't words you normally hear together in the same sentence, however it obviously worked, even though she was shocked when pronounced the winner.

I sat down to interview Kassandra exactly a week out from her handing over her crown to the new Miss Grand Australia who will be crowned this Saturday night in Sydney. We talked everything from cute fruit to free fairy floss. 😂😂

I'm convinced there's nothing Taylor Marlene​ can't do. She danced professionally for twelve years winning awards around the world, was picked out of the crowd at a modelling competition (where she was there to support a friend) PLUS she knows karate.

She's a Creative Director at World Supermodel Production​, a disability support worker at Life Without Barriers​ and is currently studying Nursing.

Oh and she's a National Finalist for Miss Grand Australia​ 2018.

I'd love to hate her, but she's really nice! 😂😂

I first interviewed Brooke Murray in 2017 where I found out she was a passionate mental health advocate and crazy chocolate lady (pretty much every answer involved chocolate).

Fast forward to 2018 and the now Miss Oceania Continents is still passionate and still crazy, only this time the interview had us both in tears with amount of laughing going on.
