Ottava parte con Stefano Nocentini. Per due secoli la tecnologia ha aiutato l’uomo a lavorare; oggi può svolgere direttamente parte del lavoro. Ma come si misura questo salto? Solo il 10–20% dei progetti di IA in azienda genera davvero ritorno, metà fa perdere soldi. Poi i numeri concreti: la Corea del Sud ha dieci volte l’automazione media mondiale, l’Italia è quattordicesima ma con aziende troppo piccole per correre. E infine il dato che spaventa: nelle piattaforme digitali il ricavo per dipendente può arrivare a 4 milioni di dollari — una marginalità che si concentra, non si distribuisce.

And the figure that should worry us: on digital platforms, revenue per employee can reach $4 million — margin that concentrates rather than spreads.

Settima parte con Stefano Nocentini. Sovranità: parola da telegiornale, sostanza molto concreta. Per usare l’IA devo darle i miei dati — e se corre su chip altrui, quei dati dove finiscono? Chi possiede la tecnologia può anche spegnerla da remoto; e l’Europa, oggi, quella tecnologia non ce l’ha. Settecento miliardi americani nel solo 2026 contro duecento europei, non ancora confermati. Energia, chip, modelli, un solo laboratorio degno di nota — Mistral — e un mercato dei capitali debole. La via d’uscita non è nazionale ma europea: lo Stato torni abilitatore, come nella rivoluzione industriale, e si scelgano poche aree strategiche. Perché la vera domanda è: quale fetta di valore riusciamo a tenere in casa?

Seventh part with Stefano Nocentini. Sovereignty: a television-news word with very concrete substance. To use AI I have to hand it my data — and if it runs on someone else’s chips, where does that data end up? Whoever owns the technology can also switch it off remotely; and Europe, today, does not have that technology. Seven hundred billion from the United States in 2026 alone against two hundred from Europe, not yet confirmed. Energy, chips, models, a single laboratory worth naming — Mistral — and weak capital markets. The way out is not national but European: let the State return to being an enabler, as in the industrial revolution, and let a few strategic areas be chosen. Because the real question is: what slice of value can we keep at home?

Sesta parte con Stefano Nocentini. Su Instagram il vero, il verosimile e il falso convivono — e la maggior parte delle persone crede a ciò che vede. Serve un filtro? Meglio distinguere domanda e offerta: al cinema sappiamo di guardare una finzione; sui social no. Da qui una regola fine, non grossolana — i divieti totali non reggono — e soprattutto educazione. Il parallelo con il warning sulle sigarette — rivelatosi una liberatoria, più che un deterrente — dice che l’etichetta da sola non basta. Perché il vero salto è nella scuola: siamo passati dalla penuria di informazioni all’abbondanza, e non conta più trovarle, ma capire di quali fidarsi. Imparare a imparare.

Sixth part with Stefano Nocentini. On Instagram the true, the plausible and the false live side by side — and most people believe what they see. Do we need a filter? Better to separate demand from supply: at the cinema we know we are watching fiction; on social media we don’t. Hence fine regulation, not crude — blanket bans never hold — and above all education. The parallel with the cigarette warning — which turned out to be a release of liability more than a deterrent — shows the label alone is not enough. Because the real shift is in school: we have moved from scarcity of information to abundance, and what matters is no longer finding it, but knowing which to trust. Learning to learn.

La farmaceutica ormai non se ne può più fare a meno — tempi e costi dei nuovi farmaci crollano, le malattie rare tornano trattabili, i vaccini Covid non sarebbero arrivati così in fretta senza. La frontiera è la cura su misura: non l’umanità, ma la singola persona. Poi la sanità stessa cambia forma — un’IA che ascolta i sintomi e smista, medici di base sempre più rari, robot infermiere, robotaxi già in strada. E ogni volta la stessa domanda scomoda: se sbaglia, chi risponde?

Pharma can no longer do without it — the time and cost of new drugs collapse, rare diseases become treatable again, the Covid vaccines would never have arrived so quickly without it. The frontier is tailored care: not humanity, but the single person. Then healthcare itself changes shape — an AI that listens to symptoms and refers, family doctors ever scarcer, robot nurses, robotaxis already on the road. And each time the same uncomfortable question: when it gets it wrong, who answers?

Finally, the paradox: the machine knows everything about the past and nothing about the future.
