Happy Chemicals in our brain play a role in keeping us motivated, happy, purposeful and on-track.  These four chemicals Dopamine, Serotonin, Endorphins and Oxytocin are responsible for that happiness feeling.

These neurotransmitters can be triggered through Gratitude.  Oprah Winfrey is a huge advocate for maintaining a gratitude journal.  

Imagine if you have the power to change your day, week, year by intentionally causing these happy chemicals to fire off! There are some tips and information about these happy chemicals and what you can do to trigger them off intentionally in your life.

I have some odd obsessions, I love journals and notepads with  cream or off white paper, I have no idea why but, hey I keep the stationary man very happy.  The other odd obsession is the use of Sticky Notes.  After sharing a blog  post from Birgit Livesey of The Business Support Factory on our Connect Her Collective Facebook group it started some comments.  I realised I am not the only one that loves using the humble sticky note.

I put my hand up, yes I did not set up a realistic expectation when I started Connect Her.  I was caught up in the moment, the excitement and blazoned on through with my un-realistic expectation.  It wasn't until the dust had settled, I calmed down. I realised I hadn't really thought things  through. I certainly wasn't being realistic in my expectations, I took a moment and then went through my S.M.A.R.T goal setting process and some reverse planning (see episode 017 Reverse Planning) to start setting realist expectations.
