By God’s design, Passover, Unleavened Bread, and Firstfruits foreshadow the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and anticipate the harvest to follow.

Passover/Unleavened Bread was a celebration of God’s redemption as well as a reminder of the price and purpose of that redemption.

Trust in the sufficiency of God’s provision in physical life through the Sabbath rest was to prepare us to trust God’s provision of salvation and spiritual life through Christ.

Sin needs to be dealt with to enter into relationship and remain in fellowship with God. Jesus’s death pays not only for your sins, but the resulting damage and injury as well.

To benefit from God’s provision required acceptance in faith. We either bear responsibility for our sin or its penalty can be paid through Him, but one way or another it will be paid.

We give Him the best, not because He needs it, but because we value our relationship and desire to honor Him by living in a way that is pleasing to Him.

Reasons for the Cross: To have One perfectly fulfill the law yet die accursed so as to prove the law does not save and thereby remove its encumbrance to faith.

God’s provision was dedicated back to God through one’s labor. Jesus is the bread of life provided for the world and the grain that must die to bear fruit.

Jesus voluntarily offered Himself, was wholly consecrated to God, was without sin, and willingly gave His life in exchange for ours that we may be dedicated to God.

The garments symbolized the priest being clothed in righteousness in order to represent Israel to God. The goal was never to be merely outwardly clothed, but inwardly changed.
