This episode covers a dope book titled The Coddling of the American Mind by Greg Lukianoff and Johnathan Haidt. It has such an independent tone and perspective, giving criticism towards both liberals and conservatives, shedding light on both of their shortcomings and habits. In addition, the book also covers contemporary problems regarding students and their anxiety/depression rates, social media, children, fearful parents, coddling public universities, political polarization, and other super interesting insights and societal problems. There are also traces of psychological insights and perspectives applied towards many of these issues and populations that are discussed. If you want to look at these problems from a relatively objective lens, this book absolutely provides that. I'd recommend this book to ANY incoming college student or currently enrolled undergrad and also to parents and educators!
