Connecting with Coincidence with Dr. Bernard Beitman, MD

Mike Clelland’s 2015 book, The Messengers, was met with high praise. In it he explores the mysterious connection between owls, synchronicities and UFO abduction. It was his firsthand experiences with these elusive events that have been the foundation for his research. This book is also a personal memoir, and a journey of self discovery.
His website hiddenexperience.blogspot.com explores these events, and their connection to the alien contact phenomenon. It also features extended audio interviews with visionaries and experts examining the complexities of the overall UFO experience.
Mike is also considered an expert in the skills of ultralight backpacking, and is the author and illustrator of a series of instructional books on advanced outdoor techniques. After 25 years living in the Rockies, he now lives in the Adirondacks.

Rosalyn W. Berne earned a PhD degree in the field of Religious Studies, with an emphasis in bioethics. She holds an appointment as Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering and Society at the University of Virginia's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences where she teaches engineering ethics. As a scholar she has explored the intersecting realms of emerging technologies, science, fiction and myth, and the links between the human and non-human worlds. She has two academic books, numerous conference papers and journal articles, and Waiting in the SIlence, (a science fiction novel) published under her name. She has also authored two award-winning books in the body-mind-spirit genre: When the Horses Whisper (2013) and a Nautilus Book Award Silver Winner, Waking to Beauty (2016).

Sky Nelson-Isaacs is a physics educator, speaker, author, and musician. He has a masters degree in physics from San Francisco State University, with a thesis in String Theory, and a BS in physics from UC Berkeley. Nelson-Isaacs has dedicated his life to finding his own sense of purpose, beginning as a student of the Yogic master Sri Swami Satchidananda when he was less than five years old.
His writing on topics like flow comes from integrating this experience into his life. He brings together the connection between synchronicity, physics, and real life using research and original ideas. As an active researcher in quantum foundations, his research is supported through grant funding from a private foundation. An educator with nine years of classroom experience, with experience in industry as a software engineer, Nelson-Isaacs is also a multi-instrumentalist and professional performer of award-winning original musical compositions.

Saskia von Diest completed her PhD in agricultural plant pathology in 2014, and is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at Stellenbosch University in South Africa and Coventry University in the UK. Over the last 6 years she has pioneered research in ‘Ecofluency’ - intuitive, embodied communication with the rest of nature. Diogo Valadas Ponte, was born in Barcelos, Portugal. He is a Clinical Psychologist since 2007. Neuropsychologist since 2011. Has a Master’s Degree of Consciousness and Transpersonal Psychology from Liverpool’s John Moore University in 2009 and is completing a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management.

His professional core is to manage the Portuguese National Stroke Association, where he is the General Director but his academic and personal daemon is in Religion and Spirituality.

With profound devotion to Jungian studies and on the history of the religious ideas, he has worked with Lothar Shafer, a quantum chemist and Distinguished Professor of Chemistry at the University of Arkansas since 2005, publishing several papers including “Quantum reality and ethos: A thought experiment regarding the foundation of ethics in cosmic order” in Zygon - Journal of Religion and Science, and “Carl Gustav Jung, Quantum Physics and the Spiritual Mind: A Mystical Vision of the Twenty-First Century”, in Journal of Behavioral Sciences.

John Ironmonger is a British novelist who lives in the North West of England. He grew up in Kenya, and trained as a zoologist, earning a PhD in animal ecology from the University of Liverpool. His novel ‘Coincidence’ explores the issues around unexplainable events. John Ironmonger is married to Sue, and has two grown up children and three grandchildren. He is still writing.

Matthew Zylstra is an integral ecologist with over 15 years of international experience in research, education and facilitation of collaborative social-ecological change processes.

Matthew has co-founded several conservation-oriented organizations, and currently serves as a founding director for the Organisation for Noetic Ecology aimed at “re-imagining the human~nature relationship”. Matthew is a research and education associate with the Sea Change Project and lead instructor for Wildlands Studies, and since 2009 has led academic field study programs across Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

Matthew completed transdisciplinary PhD research (2014) through Stellenbosch University which explored how meaningful experience and nature connectedness supports transformative education for sustainability. He has published several scientific articles and peer-reviewed chapters, presented at numerous conferences and authored the creative iBook “Cave & The Contemplator”.

Matthew also holds a Master’s in Environmental Sciences & International Policy (Wageningen University, 2003) and a Bachelor of Business in Marketing & Consumer Behavior (Queensland University of Technology, 1998).

Matthew has a passion for deep embodied learning and currently designs curricula and facilitates immersive programs and experiential workshops that ultimately serve to cultivate human~nature connectedness and authentic leadership.
