Consciousness & Light w/ John Pitre & Anna Covert

What happens when an artist enters a world of extraordinary wealth, mysterious seaplanes, extravagant parties—and a private garden with lions?

In this episode of **Consciousness & Light**, Anna Covert and visionary surrealist artist John Pitre revisit the extraordinary experiences that inspired his painting *Temptations*.

Travel back to 1970s Miami, where John found himself surrounded by wealthy and mysterious personalities, waterfront mansions, private aircraft and a lifestyle in which beauty and danger often existed side by side.

John shares the story of meeting Kenneth Burnstine, launching a seaplane business that never quite took flight, surviving an unexpected encounter with a lion cub and inviting real people from Miami's glamorous social world to become the models for *Temptations*.

You'll also discover how the painting was originally intended for a major rock band's album cover, why the project never materialized, and how stories about the original painting's later whereabouts became part of its mythology.
