The clearest way to judge President Trump’s second term is not through corporate media panic or popularity polls battered by the Iran conflict, gasoline shocks, and the hard work of repair. Doing the right thing is rarely easy or immediately popular. Fixing a damaged country never polls as well as managing its decline.
When you look at the facts, the story becomes difficult to ignore.
America added approximately 172,000 jobs in May while unemployment held near 4.3 percent. The S&P 500 remains near record highs. The Nasdaq continues climbing. Corporate earnings remain strong. Consumers are still spending. Manufacturing investment continues. Artificial intelligence, energy, defense, infrastructure, data centers, and industrial expansion continue attracting serious capital.
This is not the economic collapse Americans were promised.
Housing affordability remains painful. Deficits remain dangerous. Inflation has not disappeared, especially when gasoline and energy shocks are included. But once energy is pulled out of the equation, the inflation picture looks far less catastrophic than the political noise suggests. From the perspective of business owners, investors, lenders, employers, and manufacturers, the current economy feels like a slow-growth expansion with real stress points, not a collapsing nation.
Trump’s recovery is not only economic. It is also a recovery of American dignity, institutional accountability, and public credibility.
For years, Americans were told to trust people who kept failing upward. Trust the public health experts. Trust the intelligence community. Trust the media. Trust the bureaucrats. Trust the fact-checkers. Trust the same political class that sold Russia collusion, botched Afghanistan, denied the border crisis, minimized inflation, censored COVID dissent, dismissed the Hunter laptop, and then acted shocked when ordinary Americans stopped believing them.
That credibility crisis is now meeting enforcement.

The Director of National Intelligence (DNI),  will be officially leaving her post on June 19. She is resigning to care for her husband, who is battling a rare form of bone cancer.
Gabbard has enjoyed a remarkably successful tenure as DNI and is using her final days in office to unleash several bombshell reports. On Friday, Gabbard rescinded two intelligence assessments from the administration of President Joe Biden regarding the mysterious set of ailments known as “Havana Syndrome,” which has sickened our spies and diplomats on missions throughout the world.
It was first reported by U.S. officials serving in Havana, Cuba, in 2016. The victims reported feeling head trauma with symptoms consistent with “vertigo and extreme headaches.” For years, some analysts speculated that the victims suffered a type of direct energy attack. Yet, the Biden administration downplayed the reports and dismissed the possibility that the ailments were caused by a foreign adversary. Gabbard blasted these findings for excluding key information, suppressing “alternative analysis,” and using an “ethically flawed medical study.”
In another major development, on Friday, Gabbard declassified information regarding the United States taxpayer funding of more than 120 biolabs in 30 countries. She also lambasted the Biden administration for lying about the existence of such labs. Gabbard said,  “Despite the obvious potential for catastrophic global impact research on dangerous pathogens in biolabs can have, politicians, so-called health professionals like Dr. Fauci, and entities within the Biden administration’s national security team lied to the American people about the existence of U.S.-funded and supported biolabs, and threatened those who attempted to expose the truth.”
She also pledged that the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) would lead an effort “to end dangerous Gain-of-Function research that threatens the health and well-being of the American people and people around the world.” In March of 2025, President Donald Trump signed an Executive Order banning U.S. funding of Gain-of-Function research in “China, Iran or other nations that don’t exercise proper oversight.” The President noted that the COVID-19 worldwide pandemic was a perfect example of how dangerous pathogens “can leak out innocently, stupidly and incompetently…and half destroy the world.”
One nation that is a disturbing home for dangerous biolabs is Ukraine, especially since it is involved in a bloody 52-month war with Russia. Due to the war, “proper oversight” is next to impossible in Ukraine.
Nonetheless, about 33% of the biolabs identified by the ODNI are in war-torn Ukraine, making the release of dangerous pathogens a realistic possibility. The ODNI reported that the pathogens included “Anthrax, tularemia, tuberculosis, Swine Fever, (New Castles) Disease, MERS, SARS, Marburg, Ebola, Lassa, the Plague, Rickettsia and others.” In just four of the Ukrainian laboratories, U.S. funding exceeded $9 million.
Gabbard’s announcement raises disturbing questions, such as why the U.S. is funding such biolabs in direct contradiction to the President’s Executive Order? Why did the Biden administration lie about the presence of such biolabs in Ukraine?
The new information completely vindicates Gabbard, who raised questions about the biolabs in 2022 after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. At the time, she was accused by several political leaders of repeating Russian “lies.” For example, then Utah Senator Mitt Romney said, “Tulsi Gabbard is parroting false Russian propaganda. Her treasonous lies may well cost lives.”
As usual, Mitt Romney was completely wrong. In its Friday statement, the ODNI claimed, “The information surrounding the existence, history, locations, and funding of these US-funded biolabs has been intentionally covered up by powerful people falsely claiming that they do not exist and accusing anyone who says otherwise (of being) foreign assets and traitors to America.”
To replace Gabbard, President Trump has tapped an interim DNI, Bill Pulte, and a permanent DNI, Jay Clayton, whom he urged the U.S. Senate to confirm quickly.
Presumably, the new DNI will be more comfortable with the Trump administration’s foreign policies than Gabbard. According to media reports, Gabbard was not especially supportive of U.S. military action in Iran or Venezuela. Consequently, she was sidelined recently in favor of CIA Director John Ratcliffe, whom the President has relied on extensively for counsel on intelligence matters. Gabbard’s positions are not surprising, given her record of opposition to U.S. military involvement abroad.
Despite these disagreements, Gabbard has done tremendous work leading the U.S. intelligence community and directing the operations of 18 different agencies. During her tenure, she slashed ODNI spending by an impressive 40%. She blazed the path for the next DNI, who will follow President Trump’s directive to continue to cut spending.
Gabbard also provided a major public service last year by declassifying documents related to the 2016 “Trump-Russia collusion hoax.” This fraudulent conspiracy was used by Democrats and GOP Trump haters to paint the President as a puppet of Russian President Vladimir Putin. It was based on the phony dossier compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele and paid for by the Hillary Clinton campaign.
It set the stage for the President and his campaign to be spied on by agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and for an expensive, wide-ranging, but unnecessary, two-year investigation of the President by former FBI Director Robert Mueller. While Trump was eventually exonerated, it cast a pall over the first two years of his presidency.
Gabbard provided the evidence to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) for criminal referral and revoked the security clearances of the intelligence analysts involved in the hoax. She claimed that the entire setup of President Trump was a “treasonous conspiracy” by former President Barack Obama and his intelligence advisers.
Her courage and commitment to the truth set Tulsi Gabbard apart. For citizens to trust our government, there must be transparency. For decades, political leaders and government officials have kept secrets from Americans. On rare occasions, a leader like Tulsi Gabbard emerges to expose the lies.

6-9-26 Conservative Commandos:  Raman clinches spot in Los Angeles maoral runoff against Bass, as Pratt slips to third!!

Nithya Raman, a progressive Los Angeles City Council member, has edged out reality-TV star Spencer Pratt in the city’s mayoral primary and will run off against incumbent Mayor Karen Bass in November.
Ms. Raman had a surge in her vote count put her in second place nearly a week after Election Day. Six days after the nonpartisan primary election, officials continue processing hundreds of thousands of outstanding mail-in ballots to determine races up and down the ballot.
As of Monday evening, with 93% of the vote counted, Ms. Bass led the field with 34.3%, followed by Ms. Raman at 28.5% and Mr. Pratt trailing at 25.8%. The Associated Press and multiple news organizations called the race around 8 p.m. Monday, though there were no immediate claims of victory or concessions of defeat.
No candidate surpassed the 50% threshold that would have avoided a runoff.
The shift has been dramatic. One day after the election, Mr. Pratt held roughly 40,000 more votes than Ms. Raman, sitting in second place with 30.4% to her 22.3%, with Ms. Bass leading at 34.8%. That cushion has since evaporated.
The slow-moving count has become its own subplot in the race, putting renewed focus on California’s process, where every registered voter receives a mail-in ballot and votes can be counted as long as ballots are postmarked by Election Day, meaning the leaderboard can keep shifting for days.
The dynamic is playing out statewide as well.
In the race to succeed term-limited Gov. Gavin Newsom, Democrat Xavier Becerra has been projected to advance to the November general election, but the battle for the second spot remains unsettled.

House Republicans have launched a formal investigation into California’s prisoner-issued digital tablet program, requesting extensive records from Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) administration over concerns tied to federal grant funding and alleged misuse of devices inside state correctional facilities.
The inquiry is focused on whether taxpayer-backed funds connected to rehabilitation efforts were used to support a program now facing serious allegations involving inmate activity behind bars.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY), along with Task Force Chairman Brandon Gill (R-TX) and Subcommittee Chairman Tim Burchett (R-TN), sent a letter Tuesday seeking documents, internal communications, and funding records tied to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) tablet initiative and the California Board of State and Community Corrections’ handling of federal grants.
Lawmakers are specifically examining whether U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) grant programs helped finance or expand the system.
“The Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is conducting oversight of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s (CDCR) prisoner digital tablet program and the administration of federal grant funds by the California Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC),” the lawmakers wrote.
Lawmakers are specifically examining whether U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) grant programs helped finance or expand the system.
“The Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is conducting oversight of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s (CDCR) prisoner digital tablet program and the administration of federal grant funds by the California Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC),” the lawmakers wrote.
The committee’s letter points to recent reporting alleging that inmates have used state-issued tablets to access, distribute, and in some cases produce pornographic material, with additional claims that some activity has involved attempts to target women and minors.
Lawmakers argue those allegations raise concerns about whether federal dollars intended for rehabilitation and crime reduction are being adequately safeguarded.

While most know Memorial Day is a day of remembrance, many don’t know its exact history, importance, or how to properly pay tribute.

The History of Memorial Day
Americans began to recognize Memorial Day in 1868, and the country established it as a federal holiday in 1971. Originally known as “Decoration Day,” the holiday started with communities coming together to decorate the graves of those who died during service.
Theories of the first Memorial Day
After the Civil War, Americans across the nation began holding tributes to honor the approximately 620,000 soldiers who lost their lives — about 2% of the population at the time. These early observances typically included decorating graves with flowers, reciting prayers, and paying respect to the fallen. But history records show more than one theory about which event marked the first official Memorial Day.  A discovery by a Yale University professor at a Harvard archive suggests the earliest observance of Memorial Day was held by a group of formerly enslaved people in Charleston, South Carolina, in 1865. Records show that the group transformed a racetrack that had once served as a prison for Union captives into a proper burial site.
On May 1, 1865, thousands gathered for a procession led by 3,000 school children carrying flowers and singing patriotic songs.  In 1966, the federal government declared Waterloo, New York, the official birthplace of Memorial Day when President Johnson signed a presidential proclamation stating Waterloo celebrated the first Memorial Day. That day, in 1866, the city closed all businesses so residents could decorate the gravesites of soldiers with flowers and American flags.
Other records show that the first Memorial Day came after the Civil War, when communities came together at Arlington National Cemetery on May 30, 1868. It remains one of the country’s most notable Memorial Day ceremonies. But the history doesn’t end there: As recently as the 1990s, historians have found records of earlier celebrations.

What Memorial Day Means to Those Who Serve...
Many service members, veterans, and others in the military community spend Memorial Day mourning those they’ve lost. They think about their fallen brothers and sisters, and find their own ways to remember and honor them.  “Memorial Day is important to me because I honor those who have sacrificed their lives and their family's lives in pursuit of freedom for our nation,” said Army veteran Edwin Martinez. “What greater gift can one man or woman sacrifice to keep the U.S. free and maintain our way of life?”
U.S. Marine Corps veteran David Daly also holds Memorial Day close to his heart. He recognizes that many look forward to the long weekend, but encourages us all to look beyond the day off and remember the bravery of the men and women who served.  “For me, the day reminds me of friends lost and the horrors of war,” David said. ”At the same time, it reminds us all that while the day-to-day events of the world often paint a picture of gloom and doom, we still live in a place where heroes are among us. While these brave souls have passed in service, their memory is honored on Memorial Day to remind us that we had the privilege of existing on the same plane as them, even if it was only for a moment.”

5-22-26 Conservative Commandos: DOJ Exposes California Voter Registration Fraud Scheme!!
Federal prosecutors in California have secured a guilty plea in a voter registration fraud case involving allegations of improper payments tied to voter registration forms and ballot petition signatures.  Brenda Lee Brown Armstrong, 64, of Marina del Rey, admitted in a plea agreement to participating in a 20-year effort involving the collection and submission of voter registration forms and petition signatures across California.
Federal filings state the activity extended across multiple ballot initiative campaigns and included repeated handling of election-related paperwork over an extended period of time.  According to prosecutors, Armstrong operated within a paid signature-gathering structure in which compensation was tied to the number of valid petition signatures submitted.

5-19-26 Conservative Commandos:  Louisiana Voters Reject Cassidy!!

On Saturday, incumbent U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) finished in a distant third place in the Louisiana Republican primary with only 24% of the vote. He missed the runoff, likely ending his political career.  It was a stinging defeat for the longtime politician and two-term U.S. Senator. Of course, a motivating factor for Republicans was his vote to convict President Donald Trump of impeachment charges following the January 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol protests. However, another clear reason Cassidy lost overwhelmingly was that his policies are not in sync with those of Louisiana Republican voters.
Cassidy is much more moderate than most Louisiana Republican voters. For example, he voted for massive bills sponsored by the unpopular Biden administration, including the “Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.”  Another area that cost Cassidy political support involved his stances on crucial healthcare issues. As Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP), Cassidy has been holding virtual town hall meetings and field hearings on various issues. One hearing was focused on “making healthcare affordable for families, featuring perspectives from employers, patients, and providers.”
According to Senator Cassidy’s office, “The witnesses applauded Cassidy’s leadership and echoed his call to empower patients. As the first physician to chair the HELP Committee, Cassidy is a longtime champion of empowering patients and lowering health care costs for families.”  Unfortunately, the reality is very different from the Senator’s press release. In the view of Darren Grubb, spokesperson for Medicare Advantage Majority, the hearing included no substantive discussion of the serious healthcare issues faced by seniors in Louisiana and nationwide.  
With approximately 35 million Americans enrolled in Medicare Advantage today and an estimated 45 million by 2030, rising healthcare costs are a major concern to an ever-growing segment of the country. Grubb believes that “Healthcare costs are top of mind for seniors and their families, especially heading into the midterm elections, as Americans are facing rapidly rising cost-of-living challenges.”  Grubb noted his appreciation that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) adjusted “the final Medicare Advantage rate…to better reflect the real-world pressures” from rising healthcare costs. However, seniors are still at risk of losing a substantial number of important services because the rate increase was only a fraction of the overall increase in healthcare costs.
Nationally, healthcare costs are increasing 7.2%, topping $5 trillion for the first time in 2024. Unfortunately, CMS will increase 2027 payments to insurers carrying Medicare Advantage plans by only 2.48%.  This disparity is the reason that Humana recently announced it would cut benefits. “All insurers are likely to cut back on benefits, but Humana will be cutting back the most,” said Kevin Gade, chief operating officer at Bahl and Gaynor. In a recent call to investors, Humana CEO Jim Rechtin said cuts would have to be made to “reach profit targets.”
Congress should use this opportunity to improve the Medicare Advantage payment rate. Instead, Congress is still considering Senator Cassidy’s “No UPCODE Act,” which is alive in committee. Cassidy’s bill has been heavily criticized by senior advocates for harming Medicare Advantage by increasing consumer costs and reducing services.  A coalition of more than 60 organizations “representing providers, community groups, minority health advocates, and aging services leaders from across the country” sent a letter to Congress voicing “serious concerns” with the “No UPCODE Act.” These organizations warned that Cassidy’s bill “would undermine care coordination, reduce in-home health assessments, and compromise the preventive and supplemental benefits that millions of seniors count on.”
Among the millions of Americans who benefit from in-home care are seniors and individuals with disabilities who are managing chronic conditions. Cutting Medicare Advantage will also harm beneficiaries in rural areas, where access to healthcare is more limited.
