For those of you who do not know “We the People” have 3 branches of Government. 1. Legislative which is composed of the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate. 2. Executive branch composed of the Presidency and Vice-Presidency. 3. Judicial composed of the Supreme Court and it’s nine Justices. This lesson that should be taught in most high school, and for that matter elementary civics and history classes, has been working over 200 years and was the design of our founding fathers.
However, this week our new superstar Congresswoman-Elect from the state of New York, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, has not only shown that she does not understand economics, but also Civics. This Boston University scholar shined this week by stating that:“…If we work our butts off to make sure we take back all three chambers of Congress, uh, rather all three chambers of government, the Presidency, the Senate, and the House in 2020 we can’t start working in 2020…”
Of course, Ms. Ocasio-Cortez was called out on Social Media quickly afterward. She then shined again as a champion of education by tweeting:“Maybe instead of Republicans drooling over every minute of footage of me in slow-mo, waiting to chop up word slips that I correct in real-tomd, they actually step up enough to make the argument they want to make: that they don’t believe people deserve a right to healthcare.”

Now let me be the first to state I am not a great writer or for that fact speller. I will make plenty of mistypes. But for the socialist to misspell in her deflection just makes her look like a real “tomd” (misspelled on purpose mind you) incompetent person. I really hope that her live-in boyfriend, Riley Roberts, does not let her pay the bills, or draft their budget.I, however, being a student of history, common sense, and the Andy Griffith show would like to take time to educate our newly elected Congresswoman from the 14th district. May I introduce you to The Constitution of the United States of America!Article I – LegislativeSection 1: All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.
Ms. Ocasio-Cortez listen carefully because this is for you.
Section 21: The House of Representatives shall be composed of Members chosen every second Year by the People of the several States, and the Electors in each State shall have the Qualifications requisite for Electors of the most numerous Branch of the State Legislature.
2: No Person shall be a Representative who shall not have attained to the Age of twenty-five Years, and been seven Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State in which he shall be chosen.
Section 31: The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, chosen by the Legislature thereof, 3 for six Years; and each Senator shall have one Vote.
Now, consider yourself a student in the Front Porch Politics classroom, and see what you have learned.
As we close the chapter on the 2018 mid-term election,
