We're all guilty of it- or atleast that is what I tell myself to feel better about the number of times that I've come home and said, "I JUST MET THE LOVE OF MY LIFE" I'm glad there is no real statistic, because that would be really gut wrenching stuff.
"Do what makes you happy" seems like an impossible mantra to live when you are a natural born empath and people pleaser who is constantly evaluating other people's thoughts, feelings and emotions before your own. In this episode we talk about what the difference is between being happy and feeling good and most importantly PUTTING YOURSELF FIRST.
Yes. A psychic. Crystal balls, tarot cards, palm reading, etc... everything that you would expect from a psychic, but also MORE? I've been going to a psychic for the past 2 weeks and will be filling you in on my experience and why I would recommend anyone else go.
Journaling is one of those things that seems like a made up thing that only people in rom-coms do... however if I had to pick a genre of movie that correlates to my life I would definitely say it parallels a rom-com. Which is likely why I have been journaling for a majority of my life. I can not think of a single point in my life where I did not have a journal in my nightstand. In this episode I talk about how I got into journaling, how I structure my entries and my tips/advice on how get started journaling.
I don't want to hear it- Routine is Sexy. I used to be someone who was so enthralled by the idea of spontaneity and having no set routine, but now... absolutely not. Going to bed at the same time every night could not be more euphoric. There are so many variables in your daily life, why should your schedule and how you spend your time be one of them?
We all have the same 24 hours and we all spend them differently. In this episode I talk about how it feels impossible to feel like I'm accessing 100% of my potential in those 24 hours.
In my 24 years on this planet it is wild to me that I can distinctly pinpoint an event, a book, some phrases, and a song that have radically changed my life. It is even more wild how greatly these things differ from one another, but how much each of them mean to me. Listen to hear how an experience reignited my passion to learn, how a book reframed my outlook on life, a saying from a poster in a high school locker room has become the framework of how I select friends, and how I've used a song to be vulnerable with others.
I am still not drinking and that's raised a lot of questions and concerns from my fellow 20-somethings. I mean I get it- we're in our 20's and were supposed to go out and get drunk and make stupid choices. Buuuuuttttttttt...... Let me be the first to admit that I don't need alcohol to make stupid decisions. Nor do I need alcohol as a "social lubricant," and maybe you don't either. In this episode I talk about why I CHOSE TO quit, how it affected my social life, and how its impacted me personally.
It has been ingrained in our society that alcohol is a fundamental part of being an adult and having fun. In this episode Greta Schneider (@bunnyt33th) and I talk about what quitting drinking is like in your 20s.
