There are so many opportunities out there to cash in on reward points- but how are we supposed to know what they are when we can barely figure out how to set up auto-pay for our credit cards. Just me? ok. ANYWAYS- on this week's episode, I have brought on the ultimate finesser of credit card, hotel, and airline points. David shares what he has done to earn free* week long stays in Hawaii, access to Delta lounges and getting a free* mini iPad.
*I say free but you have to spend money to earn points/credits/rewards... so "free" I guess
I will NEVER forget going to the movie theatre to see Marley & Me when I was younger, and following along with the eb and flow of the emotions that were associated with the movie. There is an innate connection between humans and dogs that is hard to put into to words, that Emma and I attempt to discuss. There is a lot that goes into getting AND owning your own pet, but with that there is so much reward to be found in it as well. In this episode Emma and I talk about what its like being a young, working, professional, living in an apartment in a huge city with a dog.
There is so much going on... all of the time and I feel like in today's day and age it is easy to feel overwhelmed by it all. Gen Z has been tasked to resolve some major issues and on this episode, my brother, Nico and I will discuss sustainability and our generations relationship to it. In this episode we talk about how sometimes its easier to languish and mentally hide in social media purgatory than to face what reality has to offer.
So... You're grateful for the opportunity to be employed (or maybe not I won't pretend like working is fun for everyone), BUT you're not satisfied. Either you don't see growth opportunities, your salary isn't meeting what the market is stating, you hate your boss, you don't like what you're doing... or maybe all of the above!!! Leon and I take a dive into what its like to job search while you have a job and how to recognize when its time to leave your job.
In this week's episode recent homebuyer, Emily Wright, joins AA to talk about her home buying process. If you're anything like me homebuying riddles me with anxiety, because there are too many moving parts. First figuring out what you need to save, how to get approved for a loan, figuring out what you can afford, how to find a realtor, how to make an offer, getting a home inspection... ok getting anxious again just thinking about it. In this episode Emily helps instill a lot more confidence about the buying process as she describes the ease of her two month long home search.
Another day another weird monkey NFT... I am tired of seeing these stupid things and pretending like it makes sense. How can a picture of a monkey be worth more than what I make in a year? I don't get it, but fortunately my guest this week, Crypto Cam, gets it. In this episode we crack the code of what a "Bored Ape Yacht Club" NFT really is, what Doge Coin is, why decentralized currency is even relevant, and what the current crash of the crypto market means for the crypto community.
When I think of, "professionalism," I immediately think of McClain Brown. McClain is the epitome of professionalism which makes sense as to why he even started his own professionalism venture! (I told you I have the coolest friends) Check out theyoungprofessional.biz for guidance with cover letter and resume writing as well as additional crash course videos on how to how to be the strongest candidate in an applicant pool. In this episode McClain and Sarah talk about how to make a standout LinkedIn page and network like a pro, key aspects of a killer resume, helpful advice on how to assimilate into a corporate environment and so much more...
In this episode, investing savant, Brett Raker joins Sarah Smiles in discussing STONKs. Brett came out of the womb with an unreal understanding of the stock market and how it works... unlike me. Brett starting investing when most of us were still eating crayons and smelling glue and for some of us that was just a few days ago. ANYWAYS- Brett and Sarah discuss the scary topic of the stock market and how to approach investing. PLEASE NOTE: Brett and Sarah are not giving anyone any investment advice just merely sharing what they've learned and what they know/don't know :)
It is my absolute pleasure to have, Jacob Kramer, on AA to talk about his experience with The Apps. You know what apps I'm talking about: Hinge, Bumble, Tinder... FarmersOnly. In this episode Kramer and Sarah talk about their thoughts on the apps and how to navigate using them. You can also play a fun drinking game this episode- everytime Kramer says, "you know," take a drink! Enjoy and play responsibly!
In this week's episode, young professional, Claire Berry, joins Sarah on AA to share how she maintains a work, life balance in the Las Vegas of the south aka Nashville. SPOILER ALERT: it's not all rodeos, honky tonks, and karaoke bars!
