The following story is full of family, overcoming odds, success, fame and fortune and the love of a father and son, it is also a tale of tragedy, cover-ups, lies, myths and possible injustice.

However at the end of the day we are taking a look at two things; the murder of a man and the ties that murder may have to one of the most reported on events of the 1990's. Our story begins in 1936 in rural North Carolina.

James Raymond Jordan was born in Wallace NC on July 31 1936. He met his future wife Deloris in High school, he joined the United States Air Force and eventually they had 5 children and ended up in Wilmington NC. James was known to be a gifted athlete a talent that his children also had and he spent much of his time sharing this love and honing of that talent with his children who apparently had the same gift of athleticism.

Specifically in baseball and basketball. James held his relationships in high regard, while keeping a close relationship with his children he also kept close with his friends and co-workers. Even after he moved to Charlotte NC after his children moved out of the family home after they graduated school.

On July 22 1993 James was attending the funeral of a former co-worker in Wilmington NC. Later that evening shortly after midnight he began the long drive from Wilmington back to Charlotte taking NC HWY 74.

Just before 2A.M. on July 23rd James decided to pull over off HWY 74 in Lumberton NC about 800 yards West of I-95 in the parking Lot of what at the time was a Quality Inn Motel.

Earlier That precious day in Lumberton two friends teenagers Daniel Green and Larry Demery who despite two and other friends were attending a party at Greens Godmothers place at a Trailer park in Lumberton.

At 1:30 a.m. either both Daniel or Larry or just one of them, this will be discussed later, departed the location of the gathering and for some reason that remains debated made their way to the Quality Inn parking lot that James Jordan had pulled over at to rest according to court documents.

Sometime between 2 a.m. and daybreak on the 23rd and altercation occurred between James Jordan and someone at the Quality Inn parking lot. This incident ended in 56 year old James Jordan, husband and father of 5 being shot once in the chest by a .38 caliber handgun and killed.

We are not going to say who was there or who pulled the trigger of the handgun because that fact is still up to debate for the sake of the investigative review we are conducting here.

1987, Florida rapist Tommie Lee Andrews became the first person in the U.S. to be convicted as a result of DNA evidence. In 1995 despite mountains of circumstantial and physical evidence O.J. Simpson was found not guilty in the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman.

The clear DNA evidence failed to convict him of the murders. It has been reported many times that the juvenile age of DNA evidence and the prosecutions failure to have experts explain it lead to the disregard of the scientific proof of Simpson's proximity to the crime and choosing "if the glove doesn't fit you must acquit" defense.

It seems in today's world you cannot even consider a guilty verdict without the presence of DNA evidence. The recent DNA based arrest of California's Golden State Killer after 40 years at large is a testament to how far DNA technology has come in just a short 32 years since it first was used to secure its first conviction. Today we are going to go through a case that has been credited partially with leading the way for the DNA technology that leads to the Golden State Killer's arrest.

When someone goes missing it is assumed that someone somewhere is going to report it to the police, the media, and whoever will listen and give them a chance at locating the loved one that has gone missing. We see the tragic stories of missing almost everywhere we look.

When a person disappears it just seems like the names and story of that person will be made public and law enforcement knowledge. So when a woman and 3 children went missing sometime in the early 1980s. The only reason we know of their absence from the world is the discovery of their corpses.

Despite widespread news media and police efforts to identify them, nobody comes forward or can help in the identification of the four undeserving victims of obvious violent ends we must stop and consider, what the hell is happening? What happened following the 1985 discovery of a barrel with the remains of a woman and child lead to a 30-year epic that still is leaving many unanswered questions that may never be answered.

Allenstown, New Hampshire is in Merrimack County in the southeast portion of the state. Its current population is about 4,322. As it is now it was in the 1980s a very close-knit community where everyone knows everyone else.

Bear Brook State Park cuts through the heart of the Allenstown mapped area. The State Park is about 10,000 acres in size and is the largest developed state park in the state of New Hampshire.

Summer 1985: local youth Jesse Morgan and friends kick over a barrel in the woods near Bear Brook State Park. He said it "smelled like rotten milk"

This week's case file is TC-0105-P1: Satan of Northport, The Case of Ricky Kasso

Although many things attributed to this widespread phenomenon For many sociologists they attribute this in part to a media release of books such as Satan Seller by Mike Warnke and Michelle Remembers by Lawrence Pazder they both sold claims that Satanic Cults and that a secret and growing Satanic threat to the Christian values was creeping into the American dream and was a real danger to the culture and security of the world.

In 1992 Mike Warnke was exposed as a fraud and his tales and years of preaching were finally made known, Also in the early 1990s the tale of satanic ritual abuse in Michelle remembers that was claimed to be real was proven to be full of inaccuracies and fabrications however these books efforts and the threat it fictionally created, along with other growing issues in society and later fabrications of the truth made by religious fundamentalists and the use of this panic by law enforcement to make fear and suspicion influence investigations and be used to convict people based on their musical taste clothing choices and interests. This mindset sparked a phenomenon that would spread like the Black Death Plague. The term for this is called the Satanic Panic and from the McMartin Preschool abuse case to the West Memphis Three.

This Satanic Panic not only lead to false accusations and Christian fundamentalist persecution of suspects in criminal cases but also manifested a social sickness that took a section of society, specifically young people who fell outside the cookie cutter design of a "normal" child and made the rock music and secular, agnostic or atheistic minded youth of Generation X and drove them further into isolation and social persecution. When this panic is mixed with poor parenting and drug abuse you have disastrous results.

On June 19, 1984 in Northport, New York (a waterfront village in Long Island, New York. Teenager Gary Lauwers was brutally murdered in the Aztakea Woods. The investigation and media blitz that followed the events leading up to and right after the murder has been the subject of misconceptions and false reports that have to lead the case file to be filled with inaccurate information, confusion, and even outright false and fabricated lies. With the suspects and victim being out of there minds on Mescaline and LSD during the events and the accused murderer committing suicide by hanging himself only 48 hours after being arrested by police. It is difficult to be able to separate truth from fiction in these cases files.

This week's case file is TC-0104: The Connecticut River Valley Killer.

1998, a federal law was passed by the United States Congress, titled: Protection of Children from Sexual Predator Act of 1998 (Title 18, United States Code, Chapter 51, and Section 1111). This law includes a definition of serial killings:

Serial Murder is: a series of three or more killings, not less than one of which was committed within the United States, having common characteristics such as to suggest the reasonable possibility that the crimes were committed by the same actor or actors.

The FBI openly considers this definition to be limited in its application, this is discussed in detail in The FBI's publication on the topic titled Serial Murder: Multi-Disciplinary Perspectives for Investigators. This publication was put together by the Behavioral Analysis Unit, the unit made famous for its criminal profilers like John Douglas and its members made popular in films like Silence of The Lambs and TV shows like Mindhunter.

There are at any time 25-50 active serial killers in the United States. Today we are going to cover a case of one of them that has never lead to an arrest or conviction nor has any unofficial or official closed case status and is considered one of the unsolved serial murder cases. Starting in 1978 and apparently active for 10 years with the last official murder in 1988, at least eight women were murdered in the Connecticut River Valley region, all the victims stabbed, these murders would be connected together and attributed to an unknown suspect who was given many names but has been mostly referred to as the Connecticut River Valley Killer.

1985 and 1986, 2 skeletal remains were discovered in Kellyville, New Hampshire within 1000 feet of each other.

Despite the condition of the remains preventing an official cause of death, factors such as cuts into bones, pointed to multiple stabs wounds contributing to if not being the cause of death.

July 27, 1981, Reve (pronounce ReVey) Walsh and her 6 year old son Adam were at the Sears Department store at the Hollywood Mall in Hollywood Florida.

Adam begged his mother to let him play the Atari 2600 that was on kiosk display that they passed near the toy aisles. Reve, noting a group of other kids at the game taking turns playing the game. She decided that since she only had to stop at the lamp department and that she would be back quickly enough to allow Adam to go to the kiosk where the other boys were and she would be back shortly.

She did tell Adam not to wander off or go anywhere and she went on to complete her shopping at the lamp department and returned at approximately 12:15 to find Adam and the other boys who were at the kiosk were no longer there.

The store manager informed Mrs. Walsh that a scuffle had broke out between the older boys over whose turn it was to play the game. The security guard told the kids to leave the store. The guard asked the older boys if their parents were there and they said they were not.

Apparently (according to Adam's parent informed conjecture) that Adam was likely too shy to speak to the security guard, who admittedly assumed that Adam was with one of the older boys.

The Guard then informed investigators that he lead the boys to the Sears West entrance (Reve and Adam entered the North entrance) and made the boys depart the store. After page announcements and a frantic search throughout Sears, Reve finally called a reported Adams disappearance to the Hollywood Police at 1:55pm.

For two weeks Hollywood and Florida State investigators found not a single trace of Adam. Despite multiple witnesses at the Mall and in the parking lot who reportedly saw Adam with an unidentified man who they described to police and the possible vehicle that he left the mall with Adam in.

On August 10, 1981, two fishermen in a drainage canal along the Florida Turnpike near Vero Beach (130 miles from Hollywood Florida) discovered Adams severed head. Medical examiners determined Adam had been killed by asphyxiation and his head was severed post-mortem.

On September 3, 1965, approximately 5 miles south of Exeter, New Hampshire, in the neighboring town of Kensington a highly publicized UFO sighting occurred.

Although several separate sightings had been made by numerous witnesses in the weeks leading up to September 3rd, the specific incident, this specific event would become one of the most widely known and most reported on UFO encounters.

At approximately 2 a.m. on September 3, 1965, an 18-year old New Hampshire native Norman Muscarello was hitchhiking to his parents' home in Exeter along Highway 150.

Norman, had recently graduated from high school and was about to leave for service in the United States Navy. He had been visiting his girlfriend at her parents' home in nearby Amesbury, Massachusetts; since he did not own a car, he would catch a ride to and from his girlfriend's home. This definitely sounds like a would be service member doesn't it?

Because of the time of night there was little traffic on the highway,... bro it was 2 am in the morning...!!! Even if there was an occasional car driving by... at that time of night would you get in? 

While he was walking along the highway he noticed five flashing red lights in some nearby woods. The lights illuminated the woods and a nearby farmhouse. (The farm belonged to the Dining family, who were not at home at the time.)

The lights soon moved towards him, and Norman became terrified and dove into a near by ditch. The lights then moved away and hovered near the Dining farmhouse before going back into the woods.

Norman ran to the farmhouse, pounded on the door and yelled for help, but no one answered. Now... If this was you, and you just witnessed this... would you run to the house that this thing just came from?

This guy was either extremely stupid, or extremely brave. When he saw a car coming down the road, he ran back to the road and forced it to stop. Ok... Now you have this 18 year old scared out of his mind kid jump into the middle of the road at what is now probably 2:30 or so in the morning and forces this random car to stop.

But all must have went well because the couple in the car drove him to the Exeter police station.

Fayetteville NC is a small city put on the map from its proximity and connection to Ft Bragg. The city is as wide-reaching in its social and cultural themes as any city with low income and poverty struck areas and upper-class neighborhoods.

Meadowbrook at Kings Grant Apartments is a popular and affordable place that many of the young soldiers from nearby Ft Bragg call home.

One and a half miles away from the Meadowbrook Apartments in 2012 was a small bar that was called Froggy Bottoms. Like many "hole in the wall" bars it was small and besides a few pool tables, bar and the area the karaoke gear is there is nothing else that stands out and it was that unassuming threat that a young Army soldier was victim to on April 14th, 2012 in the early morning hours when she vanished into thin air after leaving the bar.

Kelli Marie Henson Bordeaux was born on Dec 27th, 1988. To Paul & Johanna Henson. She was one of three children her Sister Olivia and her Brother Matt al called St. Cloud Florida home and lived normal lives. Kelli was a petite girl at only 5'1" her tiny size was not what you noticed because she was beautiful and outgoing and according to her family and friends brightened the situation just by being there. She was a popular Student in High School and a Cheerleader

Following graduation, Kelli decided to pursue serving in the military and signed up to be US Army Combat Medic.

Kelli married her boyfriend Mike Bordeaux despite her families concerns over their young age they seemed a good couple

Kelli was assigned to the 601st Area Support Medical Company, 261st Multifunctional Medical Battalion, 44th Medical Brigade, as a health service specialist. At Ft Bragg NC.

Like many young married couples, the issues of life and marriage took a toll on the relationship and a year into the marriage Kelli was dating another man secretly. The man she was dating was Justin Thompson and he lived in her hometown in Florida.

After being well into her service in the Army at Ft Bragg and still living a married life while in love with a secret boyfriend the couple separated and Mike Bordeaux moved out of the residence and went back to Florida.

Kelli lived at the Meadowbrook apartments and despite being recently separated from her Husband Mike Bordeaux after a two-year marriage. She was living life.

Everyone has some secrets or struggles and Kelli had separated from her husband after a yearlong relationship with her new boyfriend Justin Thompson. This was a fact her separated husband Mike was unaware of for the year prior or even now despite no cause for secrecy she still had kept it from him.

Justin Thompson reported he was in contact with Kelli on April 13th, 2012 as she prepared to go out to Froggy Bottoms. Kelli was getting picked up and driven by a friend to Froggy Bottoms. The friend was Nicholas Holbert.

Kelli sent Justin texts often and on April 14, 2012 at:

12:46 a.m.: A text message is sent from Kelli's phone to an unidentified friend, saying Holbert is driving her home.

1:24 a.m.: A second message is sent from Kelli's phone, saying she's home "drunk and tired."

This was the last time anyone heard from or has seen Kelli Bordereaux.
