Let's talk about burnout, shall we?
If we’re constantly burnt out, that will affect our confidence. We’ve got to work and learn to start setting ourselves up for less burnout and more beaming. Because when we’re burnout-free we can truly start to lean in and be out most confident selves. It’s not going to happen overnight. It’s going to take a lot of time and making some mistakes and learning from them. But once we get there it can be so freeing. Confidently step into this next season of your life investing more in yourself and the confidence will come with it.
This episode was so easy for me to record. It literally just flowed out of me and I hope that it helps you in some way. I hope you take something away from it. Just remember, you’re not alone in the way that you feel. I’m right there with ya. Confidence is a journey, remember and I’m here to remind you you’re not alone.

When was the last time you had a negative thought about your body? How often does your inner mean girl make you feel like the worst person in the world? Was it a couple of seconds ago? Me too. I hope you’re ready. We’re doing it. We’re going where many refuse to go. We’re talking about our bodies. This topic is something that so many of us avoid because it’s just too painful. It’s something that we deal with every moment of every day and feel like we’re trapped. Like there’s no use in talking about it because it’s not going to make a difference because we’re so far away from where we want to be, why change things now?
I couldn’t think of a more perfect guest to talk about this with. My guest is Lizzy Cangro.
Lizzy is an expert nutritionist, wellness coach, and multi-award-winning author with a deep passion for helping other women finally get the body they’ve always wanted without dieting. Inspired by her own journey to love her body, she founded Nutrition by Lizzy in 2017, to help clients stop calorie counting, enjoy eating without guilt, and confidently step into the body they love - and sustain it.
Lizzy is a licensed member of the Association for Nutrition, certified teacher, and fitness instructor. Lizzy pairs a scientific approach with empathetic understanding to help her clients silence their inner critics, prioritize their health and wellness, practice self-compassion, and let go of the anxiety of comparing themselves to other women.
As a teenager, naivety combined with bad advice from non-experts resulted in an eating disorder that lasted ten years. After much inner work, she reclaimed her body confidence, and now uses her journey to inspire and motivate others to rebel, unleash their inner power, and reclaim their own self-love.
I promise that you’re not going to want to skip this episode. This is such an empowering conversation and one that I will not ever forget.

Have you heard of Human Design? If not, I’m sure you’ll want to know more about it after listening to this episode. Human Design is essentially a holistic self-knowledge system. The Human Design practice combines astrology and a few ancient texts and philosophies that center around the division of personalities into five energy types that indicate how someone is supposed to exchange energy with the world.
I knew a little bit about Human Design, enough to be intrigued. I had heard about listening to other podcasts and have a few friends that are into it, but beyond that, I didn’t really know that much. Basically, you can search “Human Design” on google and find a website where you have to enter the day, the month the exact time, and the location of your birth and you’ll get your results. It’s pretty easy! While I was preparing for this episode I wanted to make sure I got everything exactly right, so I pulled out my birth certificate! If you’re still like “huh”? Don’t worry, my guest, Allie Tymo explains it a lot better than I can.
Allie Tymo is a Brand Strategist and Energetic Embodiment Coach who helps purpose-led entrepreneurs and creators grow and scale their businesses using strategies anchored in authenticity and alignment. Allie believes that a business is a vehicle to express a soul's purpose and the breeding ground for healing, transformation, and expansion in all areas of life. She uses the embodiment of her client's unique energetics and Human Design while integrating aligned strategy, brand creation, launching, selling, and content creation to create impactful online brands. Allie is an expert at bringing big visions into reality while helping business owners embody a new standard of leadership.
Allie left me speechless quite a few times throughout this interview because even though I had just met her over the computer screen she was able to tell me so much about myself based on my chart. I have learned throughout the past couple of years and especially through doing this podcast that truly knowing yourself and embracing yourself for who you are can help you become your most confident self. Something like Human Design can really help you unlock how you exchange energy in this world and free you from feeling the guilt and shame around not fitting into the standards that have been set for us in this world. I can’t wait for you to meet Allie and to learn more about what Human Design can mean for you.

When was the last time you bragged on yourself? It’s hard, right? The word "brag" gets a bad rap. We’re taught from a very young age that bragging about ourselves is a negative thing. But the truth is, there’s a right way to brag on yourself. When it’s done right it can help you get a better job and even better pay. You have a lot to be proud of, right?! It’s time to let people know about it. That's why I'm so excited to introduce you to my guest, Dr. Winifred Bragg.
Dr. Bragg is the creator of The Bragg Factor®, a system that teaches entrepreneurs, college students, and other professionals how to own and communicate their value. Dr. Bragg is the Best-Selling author of four books including a three-part series that focuses on personal growth and leadership. She is a public speaker for corporations such as Fortune 500 companies and universities.
She is also the CEO of The Spine and Orthopedic Pain Center in Norfolk, VA which provides non-surgical pain management.
I loved my conversation with Dr. Bragg. We talked about how we can address the mental pain we experience around self-promotion and instead confidently talk about accomplishments for better opportunities and achieve success. She totally helped reframe the way I think about bragging and why I should start bragging on myself more. You just never know what it might lead to. I hope you’re ready to learn a lot!

On December 31st, 2021 around 11:30pm, I handed my phone to my husband and asked him to change my personal Instagram password and not tell me what it was and when I was ready, I would ask him for it and log back in again. And on July 1st, 2022, almost exactly 6 months later, I decided to log back in again.
Taking the last 6 months off of Instagram taught me a lot about myself and I wanted to share what I’ve learned and some mindset shifts I created during my time away.

We communicate with people every single day, whether it’s in person, over the phone, zoom call, text, or email. When it comes to our confidence journey it’s important for us to feel confident in our speech.
I used to be very quiet, but as I’ve grown up, I have found my voice a little bit more, but still, I really struggle with not feeling confident in my voice and whether people hear me. But it doesn’t stop there. Oftentimes, my brain is going a million miles an hour and I am trying not to forget what I want to say, but then I also want to make sure that the person I am talking to actually hears what I am saying. Sometimes I wish I could just break through all of these thoughts I am having and come across as the smart, confident person I know that I am. I know that I am not alone in feeling this way, and I think that many of you probably struggle with feeling confident in your communication on some level. That’s why I am so excited to bring you my conversation with the delightful Ryan O’Shea.
Ryan O’Shea is a Los Angeles-based voice, accent, and communication coach. She has a background in acting and is a certified coach of Fitzmaurice Voicework, Knight-Thompson Speechwork, and Organic Intelligence. Ryan has worked with everyone from actors to professional athletes to executives and everyone in between on voice, accents, on-camera presence, social anxiety, and the intersections in between. Ryan is the creator and host of the podcast, Speaking Of…Conversations on Voice, Speech, and Identity with Ryan O'Shea. You can find out more about Ryan at www.voiceandspeechwithryan.com.

Don’t feel confident when you’re having your picture taken? Join the club! Having your picture taken can be a really vulnerable experience. For many of us, we really don’t have many opportunities to get our picture taken and when we do look at pictures we tend to pick apart everything we don’t like about ourselves. Am I right? If you’ve tuned into the episode, I’m assuming that you’re looking for some juicy tips to help you feel more confident in photos and I’m so pumped that I get to bring you exactly that with the help of my very special guest, Beth Hawkes! Beth is a Los Angeles-based actress and photographer. Originally from Greensboro, North Carolina, she graduated from the North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in Acting and is now the creator and owner of Mariposa Pictures, an LA-based photography company specializing in actors, entrepreneurs, and creatives. Her previous acting credits include Chicago Med, the world premiere of Revenge Song at the Geffen Playhouse, and Marvel's Runaways. When she's not acting or shooting photos, Beth is likely reading a novel, hiking one of LA's many trails, or perusing a museum with a coffee in hand.
In case you are wondering why Beth and I have the same last name, it's because Beth also happens to be my incredibly talented sister-in-law. I loved this conversation and I am so grateful that it’s recorded. Not only does Beth share some amazing tips for how to feel more confident in photos, but we also dive into some personal growth and I definitely left our conversation feeling inspired and I know you will too!

This is a pinch-me moment because I have been listening to this podcast called SimplyBe. for years and at the beginning of each episode the host says “This is a Soulfire Production” and I always thought "that is the coolest name for a podcast production company". I say all of this because, in this episode, I get to interview the co-founder and CEO of Soulfire Productions and the co-host of the top-rated relationships podcast OK Babe, Kelli Moore!
Kelli is deeply passionate about helping people see themselves more clearly which is why she co-created Soulfire Productions: the premier podcast network for thought leaders, free thinkers, and visionaries. She believes in setting ourselves free from expectations, people pleasing, and the stories that hold us hostage in our own lives. She’s also an Emmy Award Winning former Sports TV Host with an eye for truth and an ear for bullshit. She creates life-changing experiences for audiences and holds space for creatives to seek deeper within and become the most genuine expression of themselves.
I had the most beautiful conversation with Kelli- I seriously didn’t want it to end! I know you’re going to love this episode.
