Scott Pilgrim is one of the most brilliant, intelligent films of the past decade. How come no one has seen it, and why haven't people given it its due? The question at the heart of this question is one of style vs substance. What matters more? Is style substance on its own? It's a complex question. The film, directed by Edgar Wright, is a constant barrage of flashy, over the top music and visual design. It should be lauded as the masterpiece that it is. Sadly, it probably never will be. Perhaps the only non superhero graphic novel to ever transfer into the big screen without being completely remade, this film stands the test of time. Did you know, for example, in order for this film to be more like a comic book the actors never blink once for the whole film? Or what about all the subliminal messaging that's liberally littered throughout the film? Dive deep into one of the greatest films ever that no one has ever seen. It's Scott Pilgrim VS The Podcast.
