Acts 9:31 is a pivotal passage of scripture for Convergence but also for the Church at large. In this passage, two keys are given to city transformation and Church increase. One of those is, The Fear of the Lord.  The Fear of the Lord is not the Spirit of fear but it is an awe, reverent, holy, and trembling posture that tethers you deeper into God’s heart. “The Fear of the Lord will never let you live on the fence.”

Galatians 5 is a power packed chapter in which Paul encourages the Church at Galatia to walk by the Spirit. He compares the deeds of the flesh with the fruit of the Spirit. "As a believer the more you listen and walk with the Holy Spirit as a person that directs your life, the more you will find that your decisions will be guided by the Spirit."

Paul in Galatians 4 talks about the difference between being in bondage to the law and living as a son and daughter of promise. He talks about how true freedom through Jesus is  offensive to those in bondage to the law. “Real freedom is offensive to those without it.”

In this week’s sermon Wesley unpacks Galatians 2 and 3. He teaches that everything which was made wrong because of sin, is made right by faith in Jesus and not by our own works. 

Our world desperately needs men to take their place as fathers. Just like Mordecai stepped in as a father to Esther so we need fathers to arise and take their place. Fathering isn’t just for those with kids in the natural but is for all men because we need spiritual fathers to raise up sons and daughters for such a time as this. Let the fathers arise!
