With the Olympics coming to an end we're left with some mixed feelings. Funny how the world bands together to cheer on all their athletes and how everyone is quick to judge when it comes to a bit of controversy. Breaking and Boxing had their fair share of heat but one of the more interesting moments turn out to be the French pole vaulter. The gentleman who won the hearts of women and is the envy of most men, got an offer of $250K for an hour cam performance. Quite the consolation prize after placing 12th. Thinking of all the people that will be flying in we are all dreading and looking forward to 2028, as LA is to host the next summer Olympics. Congrats to all the winners and good luck to all the athletes who are training to be competitors in four years time. We cut to the country side of Jeon Ju, S. Korea. We get a close up of a boy, not knowing he will grow up to play the lead forensic science investigator that’ll be working along side by side with the serial killer Dexter, we have C.S. Lee, aka Vince Masuka.

C.S. shared a bit of his upbringing where he was the only asian kid around. Having lived in Alaska and Washington State we can see why there was a lack in numbers. His first asian friend took 30 years only after moving to N.Y. From his first role as a klansman with lines, to his first professional gig with a small role serving Harrison Ford, there are no lack of stories from C.S. He is currently on the show, “For All Mankind,” as a North Korean Astronaut.b You check out the last 4 seasons and look forward to the 5th season scheduled to air sometime this year.

All of us at Conversasians knew Alice separately, knowing her from different part of her life. So we brought her in to put the puzzle pieces together. Alice Han, a true renaissance woman who has been mostly behind the scenes will be joining us in front of the camera. With the Olympic Games in 2024 introducing break dancing, Alice shared stories of working with R16’s tournament that highlighted urban culture including B-Boying. Which lead to a life which truely can be described as interesting. From K-pop artist to graffiti artists, Snoop and Rock the Bells, the most surprising was that Alice started out in I.T. during Y2K.

Most recently threw the event for a new soju from a famous Korean-American artist and a Netflix show’s final season premiere.

Fire fighter and reality show stud, Young Jin An drops by Conversasians during his visit in L.A. to attend his cousins wedding. Sung’s sisters wedding brought in a full Yu family mob. As Sung and Young are cousins for a parent whos one of 12 siblings, they even have neices that are older than them.

We think hero when we hear someone’s a fire fighter but Young takes us backstage in to the belly of the beast. Yes, he fights fires but goes on more medical calls that require more than medical knowledge. We learned fire fighers deal with a lot of sh*t. But the hard work brought opportuniies, being a contestant for a reality show, Tough As Nails which lead to a deal with Carhartt.

City Commissioner she's been serving our community for the past 30 years. Grace has seen first hand the issues that is in dire need of attention being a resident of L.A. With Sung attending to his sister’s festivities, this week we have Jess and Ry. Jess and Ry both share some W’s after they found themselves identifying some problematic moments. Family traditions and dynamics are different for everyone. Ryan finds himself graviting towards his wife’s family gatherings over his own, which in-turn had rippled in to having his family start some new traditions. Jess having survived consecutive pivitoal landmarks ended up neglecting the needs of her main support system. Even after having awknowledged a concern, without some outside perspective one could find themselves ill-equiped. Difficult times will never stop suffocating our lives. Jess and Ry were able to seek the air they need starting with appreciation.

Currently working for Amazon selling Ads, a hidden story lies within one man, Joe Choi. At a young impressionable age, his Godfather left him with a message that shaped his future. With all of his accomplishments of attending the Naval Academy and becoming a Navy SEAL he drops us with a children's book that will definitely be a classic. Empa and Thee (available on Amazon.com, link below) is about, as one could have guessed, empathy. Providing perspective of the ‘other-side of the story’ it teaches the reader that we may not know the whole story. A very fitting tale for our former Navy SEAL Author to share.

With Ryan’s birthday on the horizon the guys reflect on the year. Observing what's changed and what needs to start changing. Sung's family will soon grow with an extra member joining and Sung proudly wearing his future uncle badge. Sung is shocked that Ryan’s aunt with zero boys tried to adopt him because there were 2 boys in his family. As the unofficial mayor of the V in D.M.V. This week we have J.D. McElroy, renowned dancer known for his exceptional talent and contributions to the world of dance. With unfortunate events and possibly a blessing in disguise, J.D. is adopted at the age of two. While surviving his formative and adolescent years in Colorado, J.D. picks up dancing in high school. Which inevitably set his aspirational sights towards our home, Los Angeles. A bit of naiveté and most parts boldness, J.D. gets his big break in L.A. and shares one of his success stories as an audition crasher.
