Pink Flamingo RV Radio. After 15 years of involvement with an automotive radio show/podcast, Tracy moved his way from a field reporter, to Lifestyles Editor, and ultimately to Co-Host and Producer of that show... But, as with all things in life, came changes.
He knew he wanted to proceed with a new podcast, and the RV industry has always been of interest. Even before leaving the previous show, he had ideas of how an RV show could impact the podcast market as well as the RV industry, since there were no other RV shows covering the industry and lifestyle the way he thought it could be done.
He was lucky enough to RV as he was growing up. And, he wanted his son Austin to have an opportunity at those same experiences as he grew up. When Austin was younger, we had a vintage 1955 canned ham trailer, and later moved up to a Peterbilt Toterhome, which gave them the capability to RV cross-country in a big-rig lifestyle.
Combining all his RV past, as well as Austin's, they decided to create an all-inclusive RV show. Austin is credited with the name of the show, Pink Flamingo RV Radio, as it is a throwback to the vintage campgrounds with plastic flamingos adorning the landscape. Even today, at virtually any campground, you will find plastic pink flamingos as a proud part of display around vintage RVs and large diesel pushers!
Tracy explains:
As I host Pink Flamingo each week, Austin is my photographer and audio engineer. We each have our assigned duties for getting guests scheduled, interviews recorded, and shows posted each week.
We are grateful that Pink Flamingo RV Radio has been accepted by RVers world-wide! We discuss any number of topics and bring industry experts on to explain their specific corner of the RV world. Whether we're talking RVs themselves, campgrounds, aftermarket products, or roadside attractions... Pink Flamingo RV Radio looks forward to bringing more information to our listeners, as to what RVing is all about... Family, Friends, Memories, and FUN!
