Easily one of my best podcasts as I’m joined by my good friend and Calgary Flames colour commentator on Sportsnet 960 the Fan, Peter Loubardias. The thing about myself and Peter is that we can talk for days, so it was difficult for me to narrow my line of questioning down to a 2 hour and 15 minute (give or take) show…although I somehow did it. I'll be honest, I tend to go a few different directions in the early going of the show, but we cover a ton! Peter’s career, calling the Memorial Cup (in which he tells a GREAT story of him calling his first Memorial Cup final in 2004), we cover his time in Edmonton and specifically get into his call of the famous Patrik Stefan missed empty net, he gives his take on the 19-20 Edmonton Oilers, we get into the team he covers in Calgary and the rocky road that has been their season, and of course, I can’t talk to Peter without talking draft! We also get into talking life throughout the podcast, which is the great thing about Peter is he’s as open to talk about life as he is sports, and has no problem sharing the things that he’s been through that his led him to where he is today. I’m obviously biased, but I believe this is a fantastic conversation and I really hope you enjoy it. I can’t thank Peter enough for taking the time to do the show!
