Marie Mott & I talk about the legacy of organizing and activism in Chattanooga, as well as the rich, lost history of the African American community in the city. She posits the question, “where do we go from here?” as we process the events of the past year.

Guest speaker Waverly Krystaponis talks about how learning about Imposter Syndrome finally gave her the vocabulary to communicate effectively with her counselor after experiencing sexual trauma. We also discuss our experiences with purity culture growing up in church and the looming sex education conversations with our children.

For this episode I will be passing the role of hostess off to my friend Chelsea Gilbert. April is sexual assault awareness month & it feels like the right time to share my story and where I’m at today in the ongoing journey toward healing.
