In this episode we discuss the Wellness of Education. Our special guests for this conversation are Dr. Edmund Adjapong & Dr. Nellone Reid; who both have experiences in the higher education field. We examine some of the inequities within the education system as it relates to remote learning and lack of representation across all spectrums. We dive into the Hegelian Dialectic theory and other resources. In discussing these topics, we better assess the psychological impact it has on the community of color. Our hope is, by sharing our own educational experiences on how we have combated the inequalities, our listeners will learn ways to navigate the system of education to benefit us as a people.

We discuss the three manifestations of PTSS, and we give examples by sharing some of our own experiences on how they have shown up in our own lives. However, we have learned to take our power back by cultivating post traumatic growth in different ways, and we provide information and resources on how to heal.
