Conversations That Matter

Popular Christian books, big ministries, and a soon-to-be summit on the gospel and the enneagram all signal that this tool is not going away anytime soon. Russell Moore, Darrin Patrick, Lisa Vischer and others have promoted this tool to evangelical audiences. But should Christians be using this tool? I contend that the enneagram's demonic roots are an issue but I'm most concerned about something else.

Russell Moore, David French, and Curtis Chang are crafting curriculum to use at your church under the heading of "The After Party." This initiative is sponsored by Redeeming Babel which previously spearheaded "Christians and the Vaccine" which encouraged Christians to get the shot. Now the organization is back at it forming training materials to help pastors and other Christian leaders teach their people about how to be politically involved without being subverted by political parties. You can be the judge as to who's subverting whom.

There is no other way to say it. The Southern Baptist Convention is running headlong into importing the #metoo agenda yet they make incredible exceptions when it comes to who they focus on. The Guidepost report ignored Joni Hannigan and Lauren Ashford. The accusations against Bruce Ashford at this point make Paige Patterson's and David Sill's situations pale in comparison. Yet not even an acknowledgement from SBC leaders?
