JESUS: To Whom Respect Is Due
Romans 13:7 English Standard Version (ESV)
7 Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.
Respect. Disrespect. These are truly trending words of our day. Utter disgust and hatred are being rendered on both sides of the trends. What is at the source of all the frustration, discord and disconnect? One person taking a stand (by kneeling down) to not recognize the concept of belief rallied around a National Anthem and the American Flag. From the other person's prospective, he feels like the lack of respect and continued disrespect of a People needs to be considered. Well not here to debate that but want you to consider just how more important is this belief as it relates to JESUS and all he has done for us?
"Respect is due a dog." How many of y'all heard that declaration growing up? Of course we better add National Anthem and Flag to that. So if it is due a dog (an anthem and a flag); how much more a person? JESUS, Savior of all people? We tend to value things or beliefs about things more than what is truly important.
We are not here to tell you who (or what for that matter) to respect. We are here for you to think about why one would care more about a thing or a belief about a thing than they would a being (human) and a LORD and Savior who died for the ultimate cause - you and your salvation?
In this week's episode on ThePorch2, we are sharing about JESUS: To Whom Respect Is Due. After hearing the message you will have to ask yourself am I living a Life that shows JESUS respect? More importantly, am I allowing other people to disrespect JESUS? You will then want to share this Podcast episode with your Neighbors (Family and Friends). The purpose of this episode is for you to understand that JESUS is due respect. Being aware of this truth should cause you to live accordingly. We should learn from all the controversy that is going on about the Anthem and the Flag that respect is a must and disrespect should not be tolerated.
