Title: Can A Bound Man Still Perform Like A Strong Man?
Focus Scripture: Luke 11:21 New American Standard Bible
"When a strong man fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are undisturbed."
Join us for this week's 2UpLiftAll Podcast. This episode had to be orchestrated by GOD HIMSELF. The timing is unbelievable: Father's Day. For any Father out there who is bound you may know the answer but may not be able to voice it (or even admit it). For any Father who is not bound you want to take heed to the answer as shared by one who is a Father himself. And for all the rest of us Neighbors we need to be aware of the answer as well, because it impacts each of us be we young boys (or men) who may become Fathers one day; Young girls (or women) who will become connected to Fathers or who are already connected. Then all of us who are walking around either had or still have a living Father. The answer to this question may can help so many children come to terms with why (or why not) their biological/step fathers performed their fatherly roles as they did and if need be, the healing can begin.
Typically when one thinks about possessions, one thinks about things. But let's look at a few key synonyms of possession and see if you cannot extend that thought to include the members of the house: care, keeping, charge, custody, guardianship. Furthermore the second part of the definition states that something that belongs to someone (valuables). What could or should be more valuable to a man especially a Father than his family (and children). Now the scripture said that a fully armed man guards his house and his possessions are undisturbed. So if you are a strong man you will know to put on the whole armor of GOD and thereby you and your household will be protected and more likely to be undisturbed.
So many times this type of conversation might be a hot topic among the women folk. But today on #ThePorch it is led by one of your own fellas. We are blessed to have as our #Neighbor2Neighbor Guest Eric J. Elliott fellow Podcaster on StormTalk365 Radio (Man of GOD; Spouse; Father) and Author of Onward to Manhood. Now this is not a bash men show today. I believe that throughout the show you will see how this episode will serve to inspire those who have discovered what it truly means to be a strong man to continue to build his strength. Likewise Neighbors, you can decide if a bound man listens to the show that he will be encouraged that he can take the steps to build his strength.
We hope that after listening to this week's 2UpLiftAll Podcast on StormTalk365 Radio that all of you Neighbors will take action to ensure that every Father you know can have access to this episode so that the truth can be known and that going forth all Fathers will operate from the knowledge of knowing his bound vs strength status; realizing why it is important to know that status; ultimately being prepared to increase or establish his strong man status. We would also hope that any man that is a strong man will take the initiative to reach out and each one grab one to become one (a strong man that is).
To the bound man, you no longer need to think that you don't belong in the game; Moreover, you are being required to get off the bench and play. To the strong man, you still need to go through the practice drills so that you don't get benched. And you are responsible for not only mentoring and preparing your own seed; but you also must prepare those teammates of yours who are 2nd string or just on the team. Because if you don't, when their possessions become disturbed, they may then turn around and disturb your possessions.
Neighbor, so that you do not miss one nugget of #MasonJarWisdom, make sure you have enough to drink in your Mason Jar and that your note-taking device is fully-prepared for use during your visit to #ThePorch this week.
To all of or Neighbor Fathers, we invite you to pay special attention to...
