Conversations with a Curmudgeon

Part one of a two-part series in which I interview ex-romantic relationships to figure out what is wrong with me and why I've been without a partner for close to a decade. This episode is a phone call with the only girl who has ever been willing to call herself my girlfriend officially, Mallory. This was her chance to tell me how I did. If you think this concept is nuts, you should see what I did in 2019.

Here's a live segment from my WCBN show when Steve Semegen of Bailout stopped by to play music and chat. He's a real cool dude and I miss being in a Volvo gang with him.  Check out his music on Bandcamp.

This is an interview from 2016 with John M. Park, MD who, when I was a child, was my doctor. I had a lot of bladder and kidney trouble as a kid and he got me through it. He's the reason I had to pee out of my belly button for a while. Listen for details!

Here's an interview with the artist behind three of the four tattoos on my body. He's a talented and very nice dude. Since 2016, when we recorded this, Brad has moved and I miss him.

In this interview from 2016, I got the chance to interview Justin Small of one of my favorite bands Do Make Say Think. We discuss his then-ongoing Song a Week project and the then-upcoming new DMST record. It was honestly one of the coolest things I ever got to do.

This interview from early 2016 is with HyperRPG CEO and Twitch innovator Zac Eubank at the dawn of their channel. Since then the channel has morphed and shifted but continued to push want you can do on the internet. Check them out on Twitch and Youtube.

Here's an interview with no other than local legend Scott Boyink of The Amino Acids, Steve Harvey Oswald, and Hype Tshirts. These days he doesn't do any of those things much anymore and instead took up making sure bars and music venues have Narcan on hand in case someone overdoses. He's a saint.

Here's a bonus from 2014 when I interviewed Carl Hultgren of Windy & Carl and stormy records in anticipation of his then-new solo records 'Tomorrow' which you can get on Bandcamp.
