Now based in Boston, Dr. Tannoury serves as an esteemed assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine and directs spine services at Boston Medical Center. Following his residency at Georgetown University and a fellowship at the University of Virginia, Tony has become a leader and passionate educator, dedicating himself to training residents, fellows, and colleagues worldwide.

في هذه الحلقة، نجلس مع الدكتور طوني تنوري صاحب القصة الملهمة من البدايات المتواضعة إلى قمة جراحة العمود الفقري. وُلد في عائلة بسيطة في لبنان، حيث كان والده يقود سيارة الأجرة، وكانت والدته، رغم أمية الحروف، تُربي خمسة أولاد برزوا قاطبةً. كانت سنواته الأولى مليئة بالعزيمة والإصرار.
اليوم، يقيم الدكتور تنوري في بوسطن، حيث يشغل منصب أستاذ مساعد مرموق في جراحة العظام في كلية الطب بجامعة بوسطن (مدرسة تشوبانيان وأفيديسيان) ويشرف على خدمات العمود الفقري في مركز بوسطن الطبي. لقد أحدث عمله الرائد في مجال جراحة العمود الفقري بالطرق طفيفة التوغل ثورة في هذا المجال، حيث ساهم في إيجاد طرق أكثر أماناً وبساطة وفعالية لعلاج الحالات المرتبطة بالعمود الفقري. بعد إكمال فترة الإقامة في جامعة جورجتاون والتدريب المتخصص في جامعة فرجينيا، أصبح توني قائداً ومعلماً شغوفاً يكرس جهوده لتدريب المقيمين والمتدربين والزملاء حول العالم.
بعيداً عن إنجازاته المهنية المبهرة، يظل طوني مرتبطاً بجذوره. فهو يعود إلى لبنان بشكل متكرر، مقدماً خبراته ودعمه للمجتمع الذي ساهم في تشكيل شخصيته.

In this episode, Ricardo Karam meets Khattar Hadathi, a man whose life has been deeply intertwined with Lebanon’s history, politics, and aviation industry.
Born in Baskinta, Khattar grew up in a family rich in values and relationships, but his life took a turn when he lost his father at the age of eight.
Despite this early loss, he inherited a vast network of friendships, most notably his close bond with President Camille Chamoun, who became a mentor and father figure, instilling in him principles that shaped his life.
Khattar joined the Middle East Airlines in 1963, embarking on a remarkable career in aviation. From witnessing its golden era to standing by it through its toughest times, he played a pivotal role in the airline’s development, working in public relations and solidifying MEA’s presence on the international stage.
His journey took him to Geneva and London before he ultimately returned to Lebanon to continue his career and start a family. Having been kidnapped three times and shot twice, yet he never wavered in his commitment to Lebanon and its institutions.

Nayla’s first poetic evening, titled "Shams Mutadida" (Multiple Suns), marked the beginning of her creative path, where her performance caught the attention of Sami Khayat who invited her to collaborate with him after. Later, Nayla and Sami Khayat became life partners, both in marriage and in their artistic endeavors, creating a strong artistic partnership that contributed to many successful theater projects. When Sami passed away in 2023, a part of her died with him.

On Christmas Eve, Ricardo Karam meets a pioneering Lebanese artist who has left an indelible mark on the world of Lebanese music and theater: Ronza.
Her real name is Aida Maroun Tomb, but she was given the name "Ronza" by the legendary poet Said Akl. A multi-talented individual, Ronza studied psychology at the Lebanese University and earned a diploma in classical Arabic singing from the Lebanese National Conservatory under the mentorship of Badia Haddad. She further specialized in solfège for six years with Professor Tawfiq Sukkar.
Ronza is a cherished figure in Rahbani theater, having been an integral part of their artistic journey. She performed in several iconic musical plays presented by the Rahbani brothers, such as The Conspiracy Continues, The Person, and The Seventh Spring. She started her career singing in the choir behind Fairuz in various productions, and her solo performances shone in works like At Summer’s End, Hello Beirut, and Santa’s Journey.
Her professional path is also deeply intertwined with academia. As a professor at the Lebanese National Conservatory, she has trained many students specializing in classical operatic singing and has conducted workshops in solfège.
In addition to her solo career, Ronza joined forces with her sisters Amal and Fadia to form the group Tri Orient. Together, they performed in concerts and religious hymns across various countries, releasing three remarkable albums: Miladiyat, Christmas in the City, and Abu Dhabi Concert.

رونزا هي ابنة مسرح الرحابنة، إذ كانت جزءاً أساسياً من مسيرتهم الفنية، حيث شاركت في عدد من المسرحيات الغنائية التي قدّمها الأخوان رحباني، مثل "المؤامرة مستمرة" و"الشخص" و"الربيع السابع". بدأت في الكورس خلف السيدة فيروز في عدة أعمال فنية، وكان لها دور بارز في أعمال "آخر الصيف"، "هللو بيروت"، و"رحلة بابا نويل".
ارتبطت حياتها المهنية بالأكاديميا حيث تعمل كأستاذة في المعهد العالي للموسيقى، وقد تخرج على يدها العديد من الطلاب الذين يتخصصون في الغناء الكلاسيكي الأوبرالي. وقدمت ورش عمل تدريبية في السولفيج.
إضافة إلى ذلك، أطلقت رونزا مع شقيقاتها آمال وفاديا، فرقة "Tri Orient"، التي قدمت حفلات غنائية وترانيم دينية في العديد من البلدان كما أصدرت ثلاث ألبومات متميزة هي "ميلاديات"، "ميلاد في المدينة"، و"Abu Dhabi Concert".
