I wanted to share an episode from my other podcast, Lifetime Oath.
Since I'm a Marine Corps Veteran, I wanted to share this particular episode for Veterans Day. Joe Ayler and I had a conversation with a friend of ours, George Wooden.
George served in the Marine Corps and joined the Maryland State Police afterward. George tells us why he didn't get the MOS he wanted in the Marines and his work in the Maryland State Police and how much everything has changed since he retired.
George owns the #1 Charity Fundraising company in North America, BW Unlimited Charity Fundraising.
Sponsored by Tar Heel Construction Group which is always looking out for active Military, Veterans, First Responders, and the community.
Thank you to all of the Veterans and First Responders, I respect all of you and salute you.

In this episode, Rich and cohost Derek Pentz have a conversation with Jenn Perry.
Jenn is mom to Levi and Lennon, and will always be a bonus mom to Larry’s two oldest daughters, Madison and Ava. Her passion for veteran suicide awareness developed naturally in 2020 and soon thereafter she enrolled in Liberty University’s Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. She looks forward to working with other military families and veterans upon program completion.
The Doc Perry Foundation exists to help veterans & their families in the fight against veteran suicide.
We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization driven to raise awareness and prevention of veteran suicide through community events and to provide support to other local military families who are affected by veteran suicide.
We were born out of a grateful but grief-filled place after our president, Jenn Perry lost her husband to suicide on January 27, 2020. Doc Perry struggled with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), a traumatic brain injury (TBI), depression, anxiety, and insomnia as a result of the injuries he sustained in 2006 while serving his country in Haditha, Iraq.
Thank you to Jenn Perry for the conversation. Here are some links for the Doc Perry Foundation:

In this episode, Rich has a conversation with Sheila (Sy) Tyson.
SY Tyson is a mentor, author, and advocate for the rights of minors. She spent the last 30 years raising her kids and grandkids. Now that her kids are grown with their own families, her new goal is to help mold the next generation of kids based on the current climate in the world. Her need to help change the world led to the start of her organization called “Coming of Kings” an all-male mentorship program whose sole goal is to help shape the minds of young men in her community. The “Coming of Kings…. Our Future Leaders” was created with that. The series includes a journal, coloring book, and children’s book.
And the latest project is a workbook. All books can be purchased at Amazon or
www.sytyson.org
Though SY Tyson has penned multiple books, journals, and coloring books she totes “Love’s Pain” as her very first novel due to the more mature content and discussions that can be had after reading the book. Love’s Pain is written as a trilogy and has a storyline based on a toxic relationship. This is the reason for the podcast about toxic relationships and how we can help identify if we are in one. So, let’s talk about it, on my podcast, Monday 7 pm. Why do we stay in, Toxic Relationships?

In this episode, Rich has a conversation with the people of the Harford County Health Department and Corrie Reed of the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health.
In the United States, breast cancer is the biggest cancer killer of women, second only to lung cancer in terms of overall mortality. Screening for breast cancer is crucial since most women have no symptoms in the early stages, when the tumor is tiny and treatment is most effective. A painless lump is the most typical physical symptom. Breast cancer that has progressed to the lymph nodes under the arm may create a lump or swelling there before the primary tumor in the breast is big enough to be felt. Infrequent symptoms include nipple alterations including spontaneous discharge (particularly if bloody), scaliness, or retraction, as well as breast soreness or heaviness, dimpling, swelling, thickness, or redness of the breast skin, and so on. A doctor should be consulted about any breast changes that persist over time.
Community agencies, minority groups, hospitals, local companies, government, and private residents all contribute to the Harford County Health Department's Community Cancer Coalition. These representatives collaborate with the Health Department's Cancer Prevention Program personnel to inform citizens of Harford County about the services available via this program. Anyone or any group with an interest in addressing issues related to cancer awareness, early detection, and care may join the Community Cancer Coalition. Please call (410) 942-7930 for membership details or questions.

In this episode, Rich has a conversation with Teri M Brown.
Born in Athens, Greece as an Air Force brat, Teri M Brown came into this world with an imagination full of stories to tell. She now calls the North Carolina coast home, and the peaceful nature of the sea has been a great source of inspiration for her creativity.
Not letting 2020 get the best of her, Teri chose to go on an adventure that changed her outlook on life. She and her husband, Bruce, rode a tandem bicycle across the United States from Astoria, Oregon to Washington DC, successfully raising money for Toys for Tots. She learned she is stronger than she realized and capable of anything she sets her mind to.
Teri graduated from UNC Greensboro with a multitude of degrees – majors in Elementary Education and Psychology and minors in Math and Sociology – she just couldn’t settle on one thing! While homeschooling her four children, she began her writing career by focusing on small businesses, writing articles, blog posts, and website content.
During this time, Teri published five nonfiction self-help books dealing with real estate and finance, receiving "First Runner Up" in the Eric Hoffman Book Awards for 301 Simple Things You Can Do To Sell Your Home Now, finalist in the USA Best Books Awards for How To Open and Operate a Financially Successful Redesign, Redecorate, and Real Estate Staging Business and for 301 Simple Things You Can Do To Sell Your Home Now, and Honorable Mention in Foreword Magazine’s Book of the Year Award for Private Mortgage Investing.
In 2017, after finally getting out of an emotionally abusive 14-year marriage, Teri began dabbling in fiction, a lifelong dream. Upon winning the First Annual Anita Bloom Ornoff Award for Inspirational Short Story for a piece about her grandfather, she began writing in earnest, and has recently published her debut novel, Sunflowers Beneath the Snow, a historical fiction set in Ukraine.
Teri is a wife, mother, grandmother, and author who loves word games, reading, bumming on the beach, taking photos, singing in the shower, hunting for bargains, ballroom dancing, playing bridge, and mentoring others – especially youth and women who are having trouble discovering their worth. Learn more at www.terimbrown.com.
