Has the news become another portal for celebrity gossip and important topics glossed over or completely ignored?

How do you feel about this current world we are trying survive in?

What do you hear when you listen to the news everyday? Are you concerned about the content, credibility or any political slant? Are the important topics discussed? Is it just another form of celebrity gossip and unnecessary “feel-good” stories?

As a senior citizen we need real useful information and not rumors and trending pop culture hot spots.

Can we really trust anyone or anything anymore?

Only the people that are not senior citizens ask me this question. Seems to be understood as a normal statement or opinion for most seniors.

There are several ways to become invisible, unseen, overlooked and written off. Even to say that some of us are in self-imposed exile, or in hiding.

Learn to be aware of your state of mind and being and don’t shy away from asking for help. A person with a problem is hard to overcome, but a person with no one around to help can destroy us, please talk with those that will listen.

With this sweltering heat and the heat topping 115 index and rising it is just a matter of time until we will find our senior citizens in this situations. Who is working on this problem? Politicians where are you?

The prices keep going up on everything as our senior citizens are forced to survive in a metal box on the side of the road. How can this be? Those of you that are blessed with more than you will ever need can you please take a look around you? 

This country of the United States should be ashamed how we treat our seniors.

I need to speak with a real senior citizen living on the road to explain your situation and the real life it is. This is not an invitation for the RV glampers.

Ever heard of that phrase “act your age”? I would carry that a little further and ask  you to handle yourself with a mature look at the rest of your life with the responsibilities required to make the last phase of your life more pleasurable and with a well thought out plan.

Consider your loved ones and prepare. Never try to be anyone other than yourself, not matter what age you are. 

Face this world with the dignity and grace of the past and do not be swayed by the colder future that lies ahead.

Be thankful you have time to plan, live and forgive. Those of us that live in the lies and self deception of our surroundings, our age, our health please stop and prepare for the hardest part, the end.

If you have family and friends please share with them your wishes and your requirements and details to be followed. 

Be appreciative of what you have while you are here, not material things but the art of compassion, forgiveness and love to share.
