Sometimes I get so caught up in producing content that I forget to reflect on some of the lessons I have learned by listening and speaking to other people. This episode is a little different (its like an in-between-a-sode) in that I am not interviewing anybody in this episode but instead I am talking about the lessons I have learned from other podcasts guests that I have interviewed. I highlight one or two points from each person that stood out to me. There are so many more points and things that I could have mentioned too!

Rich Mckay is the Chairman of NLF competitions committee, the previous general manager of Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and is now the president and CEO of the Atlanta Falcons. He has been a part of the NFL for over 30 years and was rated #10 of the 100 most influential people in the NFL. He recently just finished his 14th season with the Atlanta Falcons which in his tenure has  included NCF title and a trip to the Superbowl. He is also a graduate of Stetson school of law (Which I had no idea of). He is also the only executive to lead 2 successful stadium negotiations, the last one being the mercedes benz stadium that was over 1.2 billion dollars!

This episode is a little different in the fact that it is a super specific episode. In this episode we dive into the habits of high performing students. I interviewed 3 of my colleagues who have been able to perform in medical school well and have gotten over a 250 on their STEP 1 exam. For those of you that may not know, the STEP 1 exam is a required national exam needed in order to graduate from medical school.

It can be known as the “great equalizer” and if performed well on can open the gate to the specialty of your choice. If you don’t do as well, it can be an uphill battle to get into the more competitive specialties.

India Shawn @India shawn is a Los Angeles born singer and songwriter who, has been lending her musical talents to the music industry for over 10 years. Before releasing her debut EP, Origin, she already had writing credits and song placements under her belt as a member of writing team, Full Circle. She’s worked with top names including Chris Brown, Diddy-Dirty Money, El Debarge, Keri Hilson, and Monica. Solange Knowles featured India’s popular track, I’m Alive, on her Saint Heron compilation album in 2013, further endorsing her impact on the new wave of music.

She continues to breathe fresh air into the industry with her and chart-topping songwriter, James Fauntleroy’s Outer Limits EP collaboration, released in the Spring of 2015 and her innovative ReWerc EP, a collaboration with Atlanta's own Werc Crew collective, released Summer 2016. Since then India has appeared on BET’s THE GAME series finale to sing the National Anthem. She has opened for artists like Ryan Leslie, Daley, KING, and Emily King. She was featured on Ludacris’s comeback album ‘Ludaversal’, and she is currently putting final touches  on her forthcoming solo album, FEELS LIKE FATE.
