The Secretary-General of the UN Antionio Guterres has said the COP 27 Conference must deliver a “down-payment” on climate solutions that match the scale of the problem of global warming.

Ahead of the Conference, UNESCO has warned that around a third of the glaciers at its World Heritage Sites are expected to disappear in the next three decades including the ice cap at Mt Kilimanjaro.
