Copenhagen Calling with Julian Isherwood. We hear how the pandemic is going in Denmark and the reopening of society. The incineration of the buried remains of some 14 million mink is under way. We also hear about the EU's Zero Pollution action plan.
This week we hear about the London court that has thrown out a Danish Tax Authority case in connection with the dividend tax scandal and the Danish Business Minister's reaction to banks lowering the amount people can have in their deposit accounts without having to pay a negative interest rate. At the EU, we hear about the EU's ongoing battle with Apple.
This week we hear about the Danish government’s warning to Danes in Burma as well as the government’s issues regarding Danish children in Syrian camps. Also the European Council meeting, an issue between the European Commission and Poland, Europe’s organic production plans, and the EU/UN Brussels Conference on Supporting the future of Syria and the region.
Not such a good week for Denmark - AstraZeneca jabs put on hold for two weeks. Nonetheless there seems to be optimism about a further reopening of society. We also hear about the EU's defence and security plans going forward.
