  • 6. From Chaos to Channel: Why I’m Choosing to Show Up Now

    Day 6, Haizhen Log.

What happens when you move from formless ideas to structured presence — not because you're ready, but because you're done hiding?

In this video, I unpack the messy, honest process behind why I’m finally choosing to show up on YouTube, what’s kept me stuck in the past, and how I’m learning to trust that the people who need this message… are already watching.

    I reflect on:

    * The tension between chaos and structure

    * My resistance to being visible (and what changed)

    * The difference between performing and transmitting

    * How I’m building Haizhen from the inside out

    This isn’t a pitch.

This is for the ones who feel unseen and are still daring to speak.

  • 5. Slow with the Flow. Ride the Dip.

Day 5 - Watch me slow.

Some days the energy dips — and that’s part of the process.

Today I’m reflecting on where I’m at: a bit tired, a bit low, but still moving.

    I talk about:

    * Emotional swings and the importance of rest

    * Discovering playful momentum in CapCut and Substack

    * The 4 stages of learning and why this business build feels different

    The biggest lesson?

You don’t have to feel confident to keep going.

You just have to trust the direction.

  • 4. Rest Day. Slowing Down and Finding Flow.

Day 4 of building Haizhen. Resting and playing today.

It's time for an easy day. It's time to play.

    Without play, you get stuck.

Stuck in the "oh no, my set up isn't perfect" or "will anyone even watch?".

Calling it out makes it a little less real.

  • 3. Perfectly Imperfect — Plateau, Projector, and the Perspective

It was noisy here, but my voice cut through… mostly.

Can you hear your own signal through all the noise in your life?

In this log, I’m riffing on how Haizhen is slowly coming together. From learning Human Design, hypnosis, ancient wisdom, and modern science — to trying to integrate it into one system. And then trying to communicate that system out loud.

I talk about the messy process of figuring myself out, and the humbling realization that this is always an evolving journey.

The only limits in life are the ones you accept.

Haizhen is what’s worked for me. It’s worked for others. Now I’m ready to scale.

Day 2 of the Haizhen launch journey.

I'm figuring out how to explain what I'm building while designing a magic manual and planning a live event.

I realize how much I enjoy graphic designing things. I put a date out into the universe, and reviewing some of the recent self work that I have done.

  • 1. Recording the First 90 Days of the Launch (Because TikTok Told Me To)

I’ve been working on this program - The Haizhen Transformation and this is my first log of documenting this process.

It’s messy, it’s random, and it started about 20 days ago. I’m releasing the first one into the wild today and will be releasing these daily. I’m in this place where I feel like sending these out daily will be littering the inboxes of the few people who have already subscribed to this Substack so I’m gonna send this one out and then the rest I will release quietly into the liminal space of the Substack corner of the internet and just let it float freely. Just like the thoughts that escape my head and leave my mouth float until they dissipate or find a new home.

I want to be part of a world where everyone can live in their fullest individuality - alignment with their Core Essence. Not living from where you think you have to be or think you should be doing. I was there once.

    I’m here now.

As a Projector, this is my lighthouse.

If there’s something interesting in this video or any of the subsequent logs, I would be forever grateful if you shared your insight with me or wherever you feel called to.

If you are reading THIS, I am already grateful for you. Sending you gratitude and good vibes. ✨💖❤️‍🔥

Day 1 of documenting my next 90 days - blending Human Design, hypnosis, and ancient wisdom with modern science.

Watch me talk through the chaos of creating Haizhen — while figuring out how to even do these videos.

This all kicked off from a random TikTok and an Instagram post I almost didn’t share. Somehow, it sparked momentum.

Haizhen is the integration of everything I’ve lived and learned — from modern science, hypnosis, and Human Design to ancient wisdom traditions.

In this video, I revisit how it all started and reflect on what it means to build something that actually feels aligned.

  • Change your mind

Ok this interesting thing happened. I use Perplexity to help me write the podcast summaries and this time I ran it through the Deepseek model. Instead of a podcast summary, it took my transcript, did research, and added it to flesh out my transcript. Pretty cool because these Core Currents are my interpretation and integration of the things that I’ve learned from different sources. So to have references and stats added to it are pretty cool. I’ll include that output below. It’s pretty neat.

    Also SO MANY REFERENCES?!

In this episode, I challenge the notion that change is difficult, arguing instead that it’s constant and happening all the time. Our bodies are in constant flux, with cells replacing themselves over time. Similarly, our minds and sense of self evolve continuously.

I explore the concept of the mind as a sense, similar to our physical senses, suggesting that we receive thoughts rather than generate them. This perspective allows us to choose which thoughts to focus on.

I emphasize the importance of accepting our current thoughts and feelings, which paradoxically enables us to change them. By viewing change as a natural, ongoing process rather than a daunting task, we can approach personal growth with greater ease and curiosity.

I had thought I was going to talk about chaos magick in this episode, but it didn’t come up. I’ll definitely get to it one day. The cover for this episode is a sigil for “I HAVE VALUE”. If it serves as a reminder of your own value, then use it ✌🏼🤙🏼

Change is indeed constant, as Heraclitus famously observed. The perception that change is difficult often stems from our limited awareness of the continuous transformations occurring within and around us. In reality, change is happening constantly at multiple levels:

    ## Physical Change

Our bodies are in a constant state of flux. Every cell in the human body is replaced over time, with estimates suggesting a complete cellular turnover occurs approximately every 7-10 years[30][31]. This includes:

    - Skin cells, which regenerate every 2-4 weeks

    - Red blood cells, which have a lifespan of about 4 months

    - Liver cells, which are replaced roughly every 300-500 days

Even our bones undergo constant remodeling, with about 10% of bone mass replaced each year[33].

    ## Psychological Change

Our minds are equally dynamic. Neuroplasticity allows our brains to form new neural connections throughout life[36]. Our thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes are constantly evolving based on new experiences and information. The Buddhist perspective even considers thought itself as a sense object, emphasizing the transient nature of our mental states[37].

    ## Embracing Change

Rather than viewing change as difficult, we can reframe it as natural and ongoing. Some strategies to embrace change include:

    1. Cultivating mindfulness to observe the constant flux of thoughts and sensations

    2. Practicing acceptance of current experiences while remaining open to new possibilities

    3. Focusing attention on desired thoughts and experiences, recognizing our ability to shape our mental landscape

    4. Setting small, consistent goals that align with desired changes, allowing for gradual transformation over time

By recognizing change as a constant process rather than a daunting task, we can work with our natural tendencies toward growth and adaptation. This perspective allows us to approach personal development with curiosity and openness rather than resistance.

Ultimately, change is neither inherently easy nor difficult - it simply is. Our relationship to change and our approach to navigating it determines our experience. By aligning ourselves with the natural flow of change, we can harness its power for positive growth and transformation.

  • Let's dance

Fighting is hard work. Is there a better way? In this episode, I’m sharing insights on how shifting our perspective can lead to greater connection and co-creation. The narrative of opposing sides erases individuality and nuance while emphasizing that no one perspective can fully dominate or erase another.

By embracing existence as a whole and recognizing the infinite uniqueness within ourselves and others, we can move away from seeing life as a series of battles. Our interactions are opportunities for exploration and co-creation — where giving and taking create shared experiences.

    Let’s dance together instead.

    Thoughts?

    Full Transcript

Does anybody feel like we are fighting for no reason? Fighting is a lot of hard work, and the idea of sides and opposition creates the illusion of two opposing monoliths. This narrative often erases individuality. Even within one side of an argument, individuals hold nuanced, slightly differing views. We all perceive the world uniquely, and understanding these individual perspectives is crucial, regardless of how similar or different they may seem.

When we view perspectives as part of a spectrum, the boundaries between sides blur. Winning and losing in conflicts don’t erase opposing perspectives; they persist in some form. It’s naive to think we can control or change others to fully align with our thinking. So, what’s the alternative? How do we reconcile differing perspectives?

One way is by embracing existence as a whole. Consider the infinite experiences and thoughts within yourself and those around you. Every person is a universe of unique experiences. Expanding this understanding to humanity as a whole reveals the vast diversity of perspectives in the world. As humans, our ability to consciously communicate is unique, but our belief in dominion over nature and others often disrupts this connection.

Ownership is another illusion. Even these words I speak now are shaped by your consciousness as you listen. If there’s resonance between us, communication flows; if not, that’s okay too. This reflects the natural reality we live in.

Instead of framing interactions as battles between winners and losers, can we explore co-creation? Co-creating means giving and taking to build shared experiences. While some things may upset us, denying their existence often reinforces them. Viewing life as an exploration allows us to open ourselves to new data and perspectives—not necessarily to change our minds but to acknowledge their existence.

Co-creation involves agreement and collaboration to build something new together. Sometimes, what we create isn’t ideal, but working together allows us to improve it. Reflect on your values: Are you here to struggle or suffer? Struggles teach us lessons that help us find joy and presence in the moment.

In daily interactions—whether in customer service, retail, or personal relationships—what if we saw them as dances rather than battles? Dancing requires movement, flow, and collaboration. Taking a step back isn’t losing ground; it’s part of creating something beautiful together.

So next time you feel stuck in a position or conflict, try moving a little—physically or mentally. It’s not about giving up space but about embracing the flow of life. Let’s dance with each other rather than fight against one another.

  • Existential Introspection

In this episode, I dive into two deep existential questions about life and our place in it — so fair warning if you’re not in the mood for introspection!

First up is the question of life’s meaning: Is there any inherent meant?! The second is to think through the idea that “You are not your body; you are not your mind”.

These topics might sound heavy or abstract, but they’ve brought so much clarity and flavour into my own human experience.

    Sit with me?

    Full Transcript:

Hello, this is take two, and it’s pretty fitting for the topic I want to talk about today: an existential crisis. Before I get into that, I had recorded this once before, but it turns out I had the wrong microphone turned on, so it didn’t record anything. That was really cool and fun. So here I am doing this for a second time, which is okay. Interestingly, what I recorded earlier doesn’t exist anymore in the present.

The topic I wanted to discuss is how I enjoy asking questions that make people think deeply about their existence. Sometimes, when I ask these questions, people comment that it might give them an existential crisis. That’s never my intention—I approach these conversations gently and with the hope of encouraging reflection. I’ve never had anyone freak out or lose themselves, which is good! That said, if this isn’t something you’re in the mood for, feel free to tap out now and maybe join me on the next episode.

Some of my favorite questions revolve around exploring who we are and how we exist. These aren’t typically things people discuss casually at a bar or in everyday conversations, but they’re the kinds of discussions I love having. To me, understanding where another person comes from helps me understand them on a deeper level, allowing them to express themselves more meaningfully. Instead of asking direct questions today, though, I’ll share two topics that might make you reflect on who you are.

The first topic is about life and its meaning. When I was younger, I spent a lot of time pondering why we’re here and what gives life meaning. Back then, life felt like a series of external activities—school, work, praise, recognition—but I questioned what it all meant at the end of the day. Over time, I came to realize that life exists on a spectrum of dichotomies: good and bad, big and small. You can’t know one without the other.

In terms of meaning, one end of the spectrum suggests there’s no inherent meaning to life—it’s just existence. On the other end, life is full of meaning because we assign it ourselves. This realization was powerful for me because it made me understand that I am the one assigning meaning to situations, relationships, and perceptions in my life. Sometimes we view things through distorted lenses, but when we recognize that we control the meanings we assign to our experiences, it shifts us from feeling powerless—like life is happening to us—to feeling empowered.

For example, if you fall down the stairs, you can accept that it happened and choose how to move forward rather than getting stuck in blame or regret. Understanding that life has no inherent meaning gives us permission to define our own lives and take control of how we perceive and respond to situations.

The second topic is an idea I first encountered through Sadhguru: You are not your body; you are not your mind. When I first heard this concept, I couldn’t grasp it. What do you mean I’m not my body or my mind? If I’m not those things, then what am I? If this is your first time hearing this idea, you might have similar questions.

Here’s how I explain it: You have objects like clothes or a car—they belong to you but aren’t you. Similarly, your body belongs to you—it’s yours—but it isn’t you. The same applies to your mind: your thoughts and emotions are things you experience; they’re not you. If you’re not your body or your mind, then what are you? You are the observer—the awareness perceiving everything in your human experience.

Meditation can help clarify this by allowing you to observe your thoughts and physical sensations without identifying with them. If you let go of everything—your body, mind, emotions—you still exist as pure awareness or consciousness. This isn’t something you need to act on; it simply exists as part of who you are.

A way to think about this distinction is by looking at a photo of yourself. You might identify with the image—your hairstyle or clothes—and remember how you felt in that moment. But there’s also an “I” behind all of that—the observer who experienced it all firsthand.

These two topics—assigning meaning to life and recognizing yourself as the observer—are ideas I love sprinkling into conversations when appropriate. While not everyone resonates with these ideas right away or finds them relevant in every setting, many people do connect with them when they’re ready for such discussions. For me, these conversations add depth and color to our shared human experience.

    Take care.

  • Doing the thing

In this first episode of Core Current, I dive into themes of consistency, creativity, and authenticity, inspired by Samantha Garcia’s book Regenerative Business. I share my personal journey of overcoming self-doubt and perfectionism by simply starting—even when things aren’t perfect—and how consistent effort is the key to growth over time.

I reflect on the idea of a “controlled burn,” a metaphor from nature that’s helped me let go of tools and habits that no longer serve my goals. Instead, I’m focusing my energy on platforms like Substack, where I’ve found an inspiring community and a space to connect with others through creativity. I also open up about my struggles with being seen and learning to create without expecting external validation.

This episode is both an introduction to Core Current and an invitation for you to take action in your own life—whether it’s starting something new or embracing imperfection as part of the process.

    Ride with me

    Have something to share?

    Full Transcript:

I’ve been reading this book called Regenerative Business by Samantha Garcia, whose business is called The Dirty Alchemy—such a cool name. The part that really resonated with me, and kind of put me in front of this microphone right now, is about consistency. It’s about doing the thing—just going out and doing whatever it is you want to do without expecting it to be perfect or even good. That’s why I’m here, in front of this microphone, sharing my thoughts and putting my voice out into the world. Creating a podcast has been something that comes in and out of my awareness. I think about it from time to time, but there are so many reasons not to do it: Do I have the right microphone? Do I have anything to talk about? Will I need to edit it? All these little doubts make it easy to avoid starting.

But here I am, just putting something out there regardless of the outcome. Because if you don’t start, how will you ever get better? If I don’t do this, how will I ever create something worth sharing? Even now, as I record this, I’m judging myself in real-time. You’re witnessing me question my own worth as I do this. But the truth is, if I don’t try, I’ll never improve. It’s easy to show up for things you’re forced to do—like going to work—even when imposter syndrome creeps in. Over time, you realize you belong and can handle the responsibilities. That’s what this is for me: showing up and putting something out there.

I’ve dabbled in podcasting before. I’ve recorded professionally in a studio and done it myself. I’ve uploaded episodes and managed them, but the lack of consistency meant those efforts just disappeared into the void. Consistency matters. So here I am at the beginning again. Check back with me in a year to see if I’ve kept up with it! My hope is that this inspires you to take action—just do something, anything—and let go of the idea that it has to be perfect from the start. After all, how can you do something well if you haven’t even done it poorly first?

Another concept from Regenerative Business that really resonated with me is the idea of a “controlled burn.” It’s a metaphor from nature about clearing out old growth so new things can emerge. This idea has been guiding me as I build my own business. I’ve been reevaluating everything—my website, podcast hosting, subscriptions—and cutting out what doesn’t serve me anymore. There are so many tools out there that can help build an amazing business, but none of them are magic solutions. The key is simply doing the work.

One platform I’m focusing on now is Substack. It’s such a great community! Funny enough, when I first mentioned Substack to my family, they looked at me like I was late to the party. But for me, it’s been amazing—connecting with creative people and reading their short yet impactful articles has been so fulfilling. Fiction is great but often feels like a big time investment; these shorter pieces give me that same sense of quality and inspiration in less time. Substack feels like the right place for me to focus my energy now.

This shift also ties into letting go of the sunk cost fallacy—the idea that because you’ve invested so much time or money into something, you should stick with it even if it no longer serves you. Letting go of old ways of doing things has been freeing for me. Instead of clinging to past efforts, I’m stepping into a space of just doing and being—putting things out there without worrying about success or recognition.

One thing I’ve struggled with is being seen: worrying about what people will think or how they’ll interpret what I say. But how can you be seen if you don’t put yourself out there? As someone who identifies as a projector in human design, this has been a big learning curve for me—understanding my need for recognition while also letting go of bitterness when it doesn’t come. Now, my focus is on finding my flow and doing what works for me without expecting anything in return.

The act of creating and completing this recording feels like success to me. Whether anyone listens or not doesn’t matter as much as the fact that I showed up and did it. If you’re still listening (or reading), thank you! If not, that’s okay too—I’m used to thinking through these ideas alone in my office anyway.

So here we are: the first official episode of what I’m calling Core Current. The first episode on this feed was actually an audio post from Substack about the idea of “normal,” but this feels like the true start of Core Current. This project is an expression of my core authenticity—a passion of mine is helping others identify their own core authenticity too.

If any of this resonates with you, please subscribe or follow along however you prefer! And if not, that’s totally fine too.
