Heroes are important to us because they show us what happens when ordinary people make extraordinary decisions to do what is right even at great cost to themselves. We're planning on having several messages on heroes throughout the year, but in this particular message, Brian tells the stories of some of those heroes who, inspired by their faith in Jesus, made the difficult choice to defend and protect the Jewish people during the Holocaust. Our hope is that, as we listen to how their faith in Jesus caused them to defend the oppressed, we would take courage and find ways to help those who are oppressed in our own lives.
