Before the Israelites besiege the city of Jericho in the Promised Land, Joshua sends two spies on a "Recon Mission." They find lodging at the home of a prostitute named Rahab who has heard about the God of Israel. She asks the spies for mercy, and they agree to spare her and her family provided that she ties a "scarlet cord" to the window of her home. This "scarlet cord" would be her "saving grace" and is a picture of the saving grace of Jesus by His blood! Perhaps you've made a mess of your life through bad choices and you've wondered at times, "Could God ever bring something wonderful out of my life?" The answer from a Canaanite prostitute is a resounding, "Yes!"
