Big Idea: The Spirit sets us free to put us into service.     

Application: That you would say yes to what the Spirit wants to do in your life.   

Question: What does the Holy Spirit do for us?

Answer: To equip us for service, the Spirit gives:

 I. Gifts                

 II. Fruit               

 III. Filling

 Doctrine: God delights to bestow blessings on His covenant people    

Q: What blessings has God promised in the Aaronic benediction? How do we receive them?    

I. Explanation of the benediction    

A. The LORD bless you and keep you    

B. The LORD make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you    

C. The LORD lift up His countenance upon and give you peace    

II. Application of the benediction    

A. Embrace the Gospel     

B. Engage in each component of the Worship Service       

C. Gratefully receive the blessing God delights to bestow            

Doctrine: True branches bear the fruit of the True Vine     

Q: How do I bear the fruit of Christ?       

I. Beware of being a barren branch      

II. Draw your sap from Christ        

III. Yield to the Father’s pruning          

Doctrine: We can only come to the Father by having Jesus as our life    

Q: How can I come to the Father through the life of the Son?     

I. Receive the eternal life Jesus came to procure    

II. Pursue the abundant life Jesus came to provide    

Doctrine: Jesus Christ is the embodiment of God’s truth to mankind.    

Q: How should we respond to the Truth?

Title:               “I Am The Way”    

Big Idea:         If you Want Fellowship with the Father you must Walk with Jesus.         

Application:   That you would walk with Jesus all the way to God.     

Question:       What does it mean that Jesus is “the way?”

Answer:          It means that Jesus is: 

                       I.          The Way, not just a way.                                          (Start) 

                        II.        The Way to Walk, not just believe in.                     (Journey)        

                        III.       The Way to The Father, not just Himself.             (Destination)

Doctrine: Our bodily resurrection is a glorious incitement to peace, purity & plentiful service   

I. When are the dead raised bodily?   

II. What will our resurrected bodies be like?   

A. Physical body with Supernatural properties   

B. Beautiful Countenance   

III. Why should it matter now that believers will receive resurrected bodies?   

A. Peace in our trials   

B. Purity in our living

Doctrine: The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the keystone event of human history.   

Q: Why is Christ’s resurrection the keystone of Christianity?   

I. Our eternal redemption is secured by it   

II. Our bodily resurrection is secured by it

Doctrine: The Good Shepherd’s joy is increased the more His sheep come to Him for mercy and grace
