Big Idea:        God’s love for me is more secure than I tend to think.   

Application:   That we would all exult more deeply in the love of God in Christ.   

Question:       Will God’s love ever let me go?   

Answer:          No:   

                        I.          God loved me when I was his enemy.    

                        II.        Now that I am his friend, God loves me all the more.

Big Idea: In order for true hope to come, false hopes must go.     

Application: That you would thank God for the disappointments in your life.     

Question: Why does God allow us to experience so much disappointment?    

Answer: To teach us that we cannot have hope without faith.    

Last week we considered how God moved earth to save us   

Doctrine: God moved heaven and earth to redeem lost sinners    

Q: How did God move heaven to save us?     

I. God sent angelic beings to herald Christ’s birth   

II. God sent the Holy Spirit to overshadow Mary’s womb   

III. God set a star in the heavens to draw the magi   

IV. God sent His Son to be born of Mary

Doctrine: God moved heaven and earth to redeem lost sinners
