The fear of the Lord is the awareness that you’re before God all the time. It’s the consciousness that you’re part of the heavenly realm before a great cloud of witnesses. So may we aim to live our lives God-focused, to please Him above anyone else. 

God has given each of us a call, a divine blueprint. But because of things that happen in our lives, we may think we’re not qualified. The good news is, God‘s purpose for us does not change. His destiny for us remains and He wants us to keep pressing into it. 

The healing of blind Bartimaeus and the salvation of Zacchaeus is recorded for us from Luke 18:35 to 19:10. These two accounts seem separate but are deeply connected to each another. One occurred as Jesus was making His way towards Jericho, while the other as He exited from the same city. The parallels are uncanny and clearly intentional so that the divine may convey a single clear message to us.

Are we a good host to the Holy Spirit in our lives? What is it like to be led by Him, to walk daily conscious of His Presence, power and direction? If we desire to know the Person of the Holy Spirit intimately, we must start by making room for Him.

God has called us to live in a place of victory, regardless of the season we’re in. Even in the midst of crisis, we can be overcomers and live victoriously in Christ!

Leprosy is a terrible but prevalent disease in the Old Testament.
