Epiphany is a word that means revealing, and specifically, the revealing of the light of Christ. But even as we celebrate the light that has come among us, we still experience challenges and struggles—we still walk in darkness. The hope of Epiphany is not necessarily that the light will bring an end to our struggles, but that Jesus will be present with us in the midst of them.

Without Water, we die. In the arid land of Israel, water was life. In Jesus is Life Eternal.

Jesus is coming back and each day that he waits is another day where he gives us a chance to participate in his work of adding names to the list of those who are saved.

Active love is turning away from what tears down and toward what builds up.

God’s Word is full of declarations of grace and His promises for us. His word is also filled with words of discipline for us. Both are the ways God speaks love to us, because speaking love means includes saying the difficult thing.

This life is challenging. It can be easy for us to become cynical with all the trials and temptations we face daily. However, our lives have been changed because of God’s grace through Jesus, giving us an enduring hope that changes everything!

The saying goes, “You are an example – you decide whether it is good or not.” The church of Thessalonika was known for putting its faith into action. We honor the God who saves us through the demonstration of our lives.

The pursuit of happiness is something that every person experiences in their lives. We all seek happiness, and the world offers us many ways to achieve fleeting, temporary happiness. However, we know that we have something better than temporary happiness: joy. Specifically, the joy that comes from knowing Jesus.
