After coming off the mountaintop experience of his victory over Goliath, David is plunged into the wilderness. There in 1 Samuel 18-23, he will enter God’s workshop, a place we all must enter, where God meticulously trains us to trust in Him alone.

Our text brings us to one of the most familiar passages in all of Scripture, whether a person is a Christian or not.
