This sermon begins a new series from the books of 1 and 2 Samuel on the life of King David, who Scripture describes as "a man after God's own heart" (1 Sam 13:14). In 1 Samuel 15–16, we find two characters, Saul and David, who represent two contrasts in their approach to the spiritual life. And as we examine the lives of these two leaders, we'll discover that one life was aligned with God while the other was far from it. Which life are you living? Worship with us this Sunday as we invite God to do a heart check (and perhaps even a heart procedure) on all of us!
