Life without Jesus is hopeless!  Life with Jesus is filled with righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. In Christ the LORD is our one hope!  Just as we know there is one Lord, one faith and one baptism, so also, there is one body, one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of His calling and choosing you!  This morning we will listen to the LORD as He speaks through King David and the Apostle Paul to enlighten us into what is the unshakeable foundation for our one and only hope in this life.  In the second point of the message this morning we will answer what does it mean that you were called in one hope of your calling?    We will examine what the bible says about our being called through the gospel and then we will discover when we are called and the eternal hope that it brings to our lives now and after we pass away.  If we understand this one hope properly it fills our lives with great joy, confidence, and expectation as we faithfully serve Him as we wait for His return to redeem us body, soul, and spirit complete!

This morning we begin our annual theme!  The focus for 2024 will be the power of our hope in Christ Jesus!  Life outside of Christ is hopeless!  Life in Christ, as we walk by faith and not by sight, is filled with hope and love!  In light of this truth we will begin this year of lessons about hope with a sermon titled, “The Three Pillars of Life in Christ- Faith, Hope, and Love!”  To truly understand the power of hope we must recognize and embrace the truth that hope is interdependent with faith and love.  This morning we will discover that faith is the foundation for hope and abiding hope is what motivates and drives us to give ourselves to the great sacrificial works of love we see in Christ Jesus!

Today we close our series of lessons on, The 6th Law of Momentum, “The Power of Fear!”  The fear of God is to hate evil and the fear of God is to love Him with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength and to love all others with His love!  This morning we will conclude with the sermon titled, “The Divine Standard of a Son of God’s Love!”  Many of you have heard me say that the greatest commandment and to love your neighbor as your self was actually superseded by the “new commandment” Jesus gave to His disciples, to love one another even as He had loved them.  The ultimate and divine standard of love was expressed and demonstrated by Jesus Himself.  I begin this morning with a brief review of the “new commandment” given by Jesus in that we must love our brother or sister even as He has loved us and then step up to the next level of His love.  We will then examine Christ’s words and actions to determine that as God’s Son, He loved His enemies by blessing them, doing good to them, and praying for them and their salvation.  To conclude today’s lesson we will examine the call to us to love our enemies just as Jesus Christ loved His enemies and laid His life down for them.  My hope and prayer is that we, God’s children, will possess a reverential fear of our LORD and not just hate evil but love all peoples that they may be saved.

As we finish the series of lessons regarding, “The 6th Law of Momentum – The Power of Fear!,” we must speak of the awe and adoration of the fear of God that produces a deep, intimate, love of our God.  We must recognize that the faith, the faith of Christ is the only things that can produce this kind of love which is also found to be the love of Christ.  Jesus, through His faith, overcame and was victorious over the world!  So, we too, are to possess His faith to produce His love which gives us the victory in this life.  Law keeping is a death trap.  Sadly, so many “Christendom religions,” default to law keeping even though they proclaim that faith only saves a person.  Sadly, they do not understand the faith of Christ nor do they manifest the genuine love of Christ.  This morning we will examine and compare Law keeping and the faith of Christ which produces the love of God!
