Application Questions

1. Has there been a moment when news about someone's faithfulness or salvation has caused you to feel "really alive"?
2. Is there something so important to you that you find yourself committed to pray earnestly "night and day" for it? How did God respond to your prayers?
3. If "holiness" means adopting the character of God as our character, where are you feeling progress? Where do you need support?

Application Questions:

1. What holds you back from speaking the gospel to non-Christian neighbors, co-workers, and friends?
2. Think of your non-Christian friends and what's going on in their lives. What are some ways you can lovingly speak the personal gospel to them?
3. Think of the five words Brian mentioned that make up the full gospel: God, Man, Sin, Jesus, Faith. What words do you have a hard time explaining? What words do your non-Christian friends have a hard time understanding? What would it look like for you to speak the full gospel to your non-Christian friends?
4. Have you ever invited someone to believe the gospel (instead of just sharing what you believe)? Think of people in your life now who have heard the personal, full gospel from you. How can you take the next step and lovingly invite them to believe?

4. Which of your neighbors do you know how you could serve them?

6. Spend dedicated time this week praying for your neighbors.

1. Do you think of deep Christian community as central to your life? How does that affect the way you live?
2. Dietrich Bonhoeffer says that we can't love our idea of a perfect community more than the actual community around us. How have you experienced that tension? What has it looked like for you to embrace the messiness of real community?
3. Are you more intentional or passive when it comes to your Christian relationships?
4. What does it look like for you to be generous with your time, possessions, and your self?
5. Have you invited anyone into your needs, honest struggles, and life decisions? Why or why not?
