Father Jeremy Miller: If we invest in God and love of neighbor, we will grow and become the kind of person that we idealize ourself to be in the future.

Monsignor Michael Billian: In the bank of time, there are no balances and no overdrafts. Each day, a new account is open for us. Each night, whatever remains is written off, lost, gone forever. Every day’s 86,400 seconds must be invested wisely in commodities that will hold their value from day to day, quarter to quarter, year to year, and beyond.

Father Philip Smith: The reason we smile when we perform acts of service is because we know that God is helping us overcome our selfishness, that God is helping us serve and touch the lives of other people and share God’s joy with them.

Monsignor Michael Billian: We can’t just can’t love God part-time. We must love him with everything that we have. We can’t just be good to our neighbors sometimes. We must be good to others always.

Deacon Justin Moor: One of the greatest goods we can do is going out and helping others have an encounter with Jesus, and then bringing them back to church to help them grow the Body of Christ.

Monsignor Michael Billian: We are not alone. We have Jesus Christ. He gives us the power of his spirit. The power of the cross is given to us to wage war against all the difficulties and evils that attack us.

Father Jeremy Miller: What are the wild grapes that have overrun the vineyard of our hearts? And who are the people God consistently sends who speak truth to us and who we sort of dismiss because we don’t like what they say?

Father Jeremy Miller: Faith without love and faith without persevering in what we’ve committed to is an empty faith, a dead faith, a sterile faith, a faith that doesn’t back itself up with action.

Father Jeremy Miller: When we stop trying to fashion God in our own image and try to start to fashioning ourselves in the image of God, that’s the decisive moment of mature faith.

Deacon Justin Moor: Will we be like this unforgiving servant or are we instead going to use the forgiveness and grace God has given us to share it with others?
