Earlier this evening, Coronation Street and Emmerdale fans across the UK were united in anticipation as the ultimate soap crossover finally exploded onto our screens. Two worlds collided in a spectacular stunt that saw Billy tragically meet his maker (and, we assume, enjoy a heavenly rave-up with Paul), while Carl’s fate - and the survival of Shona’s baby - remain agonisingly up in the air.
