I’m tired. So very tired of the ongoing battle over truth and misinformation.

I believe we should all share concern over how easy it is to disseminate falsehoods in mere seconds. But not let it become your life.

I think I’ve strayed down this dark path.

I have always wanted to be a teller of facts and have details to back it up.

Sadly facts make the eyes of some roll. It’s easier and apparently comforting that thinking can be someone else’s problem. How can that compete with the curated stories that masquerade as news these days?

It’s time for me to take a break and reassess how I fit in the world of truth telling.

Here’s me thinking with a break in the Grand Jury’s sittings in Manhattan, that it could be weeks before we find out whether Donald Trump would be indicted by the New York District Attorney, Alvin Bragg.

But Friday morning (Australian time) it was announced that Trump would be getting his day (probably many days) in court.

Trump is expected to be arrest in the coming days.

It’s been a long time coming, but to see Trump squirm and lash out over his criminal proceedings is selfishly satisfying. Sadly we’re having to wait a little longer. This single special has turned into something else. So this is the second and hopefully final part in this series on the first Trump Indictment charge that may or may not be laid. Oh you know what I mean!

The former President of the United States is facing four criminal investigations, including the January 6 insurrection attempt that he clearly incited, the attempt to influence the Georgia legislature into creating a certain number of votes to be able to have declared him the winner of the state in the 2020 Presidential Election and the case in New York over hush money handed over to a porn star who Trump allegedly had an affair with.

Two weekends ago the Orange Menace took to his social media platform claiming that he expected to be arrest on Tuesday and that his supporters should protest.

Does this ring any bells? Sounds a lot like the messaging that lead up to January 6, 2021 doesn’t it.

Another school shooting in the United States today. I kid you not, I’ve lost count of how many there have been this year alone. I had to look it up and according to the Education Week website, there’s been 13 school shootings this year. We’re only at the end of March. Last year in the US, there were 51 school shootings

I cannot comprehend America’s abhorrent response to mass shootings in general. I bet you didn’t know in the United States there’s been 28 mass shootings just this month. Three in the last three days.

While many American’s wonder why nothing is done to combat this oh so American thing, it would appear lawmakers, politicians and some companies are beholden to the gun lobby. The all powerful National Rifle Association, or as I’d prefer to call them, the RKC… Redneck Kill Club.
