What does counseling look like:
Tier 1- Classroom push-ins, meeting kids in their environment, parent communication, classroom activities provide by teachers, triage
Tier 2- 1 on 1 counseling, small groups
20-30 minutes long
Work on a specific skill
Community outreach (school social worker)
Restorative Practices
In class circles
Small group circles
What school counseling is not:
Grief or Trauma therapy
Academic support
Family therapy
