In this episode, Hannah and Carly sit down with Ariel, a former ballet dancer turned Montessori School Teacher based in Seattle. They discuss the positive and negative sides of ballet, body image, and their shared love of teaching.
Ariel Lantz is an Upper Elementary Montessori guide in Seattle. She started dancing at age 3 and studied ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop growing up. She continued to dance as her family moved to Bolivia, England, then Kuwait. In high school, Ariel began teaching ballet to children ages 3-9 and performing in musical theatre productions. Ariel stopped dancing in college, and pursued an Elementary teaching career. She taught abroad for 3 years before doing her Masters in Montessori Education. Today, when she is not in the classroom, Ariel can be found in the yoga studio, climbing gym, or out hiking the trails of the Cascade range.
