As the 18th Latin GRAMMY Awards approaches we continue our countdown of the awards gala. Jessica Maldonado talks to the nominees of the two generations of Mexican regional music; El Chapo de Sinaloa and Leonardo Aguilar.
Nominated for Best Banda Album, El Chapo admits to being a romantic at heart and passionate about the Mexican regional-music. He candidly expresses his opinion of the new generation of musicians and the style of music being performed today. Leonardo Aguilar, is one of those new artists. Born into music royalty as a descendant of the Aguilar dynasty, he represents the new face of the Mexican regional genre and is nominated this year for Best Regional Song as well as Best Norteño Album. The young performer opens up to Jessica about the demanding road he has chosen following in his father’s footsteps. As he done it for love of family or for love of music?
