  • Book Discussion: Josh Wickett and CREE on "The Rising Tide of Color"
In Memorium of Dr. Frances Cress Welsiing:  March 18, 1935 - January 2, 2016

A Million-Midnight Salute to a black woman of towering intellect, dedication, intent, and stamina.

The uploading of this archived broadcast (from May 16, 2010)  was inspired by a Facebook post by Michael Moore acknowledging that he had received in the mail the book under discussion in this broadcast.  Mr. Moore said that, in her final  lecture,  Dr. Welsing  recommended that every black person read it..

Mr. Wickett attended many of Dr. Welsing's lectures at the monthly Welsing Institute held at Howard University and filmed a few of them.   The host considers both Mr. Wickett and Dr. Welsing to have made major contributions toward the eventual solving of The Problem. Additionally, a caller, "Mark," inspired an evolution in Cree's framing of the role of genetics and/ or other forms of DNA in the practice of racism (white supremacy/anti-blackness).

  • June 2015 Current Events Round-Up/What is a Black Person
A discussion of the explicitly racist behaviors of the last 12 weeks or so prior to this broadcasts and an impromptu  discussion of reactions to persons born to a white and black parent (about 1:57):

This 2nd quarter of 2015, white folks have been covering a lot of stories about explicitly racist acts: The Atlanta school-teachers conviction and incarceration; Freddie Gray's murder by police and investigation; Walter Scott's murder by police and investigation; the pool incidents in McKinney, Texas and Fairfield, Ohio involving  the abuse by white police officials of black female children/teens; Rachel Dolezal & family; the white terrorism in Charleston, South Carolina and it's attendent events; and, maybe more.

  • LGBTQ Matters: A Conversation with junior burchall
junior burchall, M.Ed., is a freelance writer, public speaker, curriculum consultant and Literacy Specialist. He is the founder of the Fihankra Home Academy, an Afrikan-centered homeschool located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. A devoted husband, he is also the father of two high-energy, irrepressibly brilliant, Afrikan boys. Burchall is the author of “Freedom’s Flames: Slavery in Bermuda and the True Story of Sally Bassett” and “Dame Lois: The People’s Advocate”. He is currently putting the finishing touches on his latest work, “Look For Me in the Whirlwind: A Story of Marcus Garvey”, tentatively scheduled for release December 2015. Burchall has said of himself, "I am 100% committed to the full liberation of ALL Afrikan people. which means that - if I am not an ethically inconsistent hypocrite and coward of the highest order, that is - I must be similarly unswerving in my advocacy for Afrikans whose lives are under threat because they are what we today would call 'gay', or 'bisexual', or 'transgender', or 'intersex' or 'lesbian', or 'queer'"

This topic is currently consuming much of the real estate of public discourse regarding black people getting free. The host, Cree, and Mr. burchall have not always seen eye-to-eye on matters pertaining to it. But, neither has she seen eye-to-eye on the topic with other black people passionate on the other side of it. Because Cree has admiration for Mr. burchall's courage, sincerity, and intellectual rigor, she thinks this is a conversation from which she and/or the listeners will learn something significant. The goal of this conversation is to bring clarity to the questions and the answers about the best known (codified) ways to think, speak, and/or act in regard to "LGBTQ" matters and people in order to expedite black people's freedom.

  • Advanced Black Thinking & Doing, Part 1: Kofi Lion
    Advanced Black Thinking and Doing
This is not a broadcast for beginner counter-racists of any age. However, it may be for YOU if you frequently say and/or agree with the statement, "We need to be focused on solutions." Kofi Lion is the founder of World Afropedia, an unequaled online repository of information about black personages and black peoples around the globe and throughout known history. He didn't just talk about the racism with which Wikipedia is saturated. He did something epic about it.
Kofi might be described as a polymath (a person of wide-ranging knowledge or learning.) So, we'll be discussing a range of fascinating topics including the digital dark age; bit coin economics; biological xenophilia (love of genes different than one's own), and; Mandombe script's promise for releasing the innovation of the black mind.

  • $Money$: How to Get & Keep More w/ Travis Keeton
"Simplify, Unify, Multiply" with special guest, Travis Keeton, Financial Educator.
Before he turned his attention to the industry of finance, Mr. Keeton had already made a name for himself in the Bay Area of California and in Europe and Japan as a Hip Hop entrpreneur in music and fashion. He'll tell us how everybody else has a group of otherwise ordinary folks who are getting it in and how overcoming our own anti-blackness can provide the same astounding results for us. He impressed me so much in our conversation that : 1) I did business with him, and; 2) I invited hiim to my radio program to offer this constructive information. Mr. Keeton is quite the innovative thinker.
Phone in with your question and we'll chop it up.   Every question is valid and none too small.  From a seed does a mighty oak grow.

  • Sake to Me Saturday
I recently saw a short video  by a FB friend, Tha Profit, on the importance of intoxicants to opening up ways of knowing to our Egyptian ancestors in the Americas.  He was under the influence when he made it. So he made his point by demonstration.  I thought it was impressive.  I cannot tolerate cannibis at all and have a very limited tolerance for alcohol. I have the equivalent of about 6 drinks per year.  But, I thought it would be interesting to see how an online conversation  under a light to moderate influence of some sake would go about anything that "black" callers wanted to discuss related to our problems and suggested solutions.   It’s an experiment.  If you decide to participate, please call in either sober or only lightly or moderately intoxicated and be prepared to name the intoxicant.  If it’s not legal, don’t call in because if you lie about being sober or about what intoxicated you, it will invalidate the results.   Also, if you are in recovery for a substance abuse, please do not listen to this broadcast because there’s no need to trigger a re-lapse over some little curiosity on my part.
Otherwise, LET'S TALK.  And, ladies, PLEASE don't leave me stranded with only male callers....I'll end the broadcast if that happens

  • Culture, Uhhh, Good God Y'all... Part Deux (2)
We'll resume our counter-racist lab examination, that was begun during the August 02, 2014 broadcast, of the most effective use of the word, "culture." In addition to Penelope's written submission, there were four very thoughtful live participants during that discussion: Gwendolyn;  Kofi, the founder of World Afropedia;  Universal Jones, the founder of Justice Lab Radio, and Allen. Each of these terrific thinkers has agreed to return for this broadcast.
We'll start by comparing the definition for last proffered by Kofi that "culture" is "whatever a person does that benefits people" to that suggested by Neely Fuller, Jr., author of the seminal work, The United Independent Compensatory Code System Concept a textbook/workbook for Thought, Speech and/or Action for Victims of Racism (white supremacy).
If listeners may have suggestions different than those discussed during the previous broadcast, they are encouraged to call in!

  • Culture, Uhhh, Good God Y'all...
...What is it good for? Absolutely __________?"

Please phone in and give us your definition of "culture." You may also email your definition at least 1 hour before the broadcast to: [email protected] Please remember that an example is not a definition. Examples can leave room for confusion about what a thing is while a definition should not. Your definition should include or lead to a logical answer to the following questions:
    1. What is the minimum number people necessary to constitute a culture?
2.Can every person in the known universe practice the same culture?
    3. Can a person practice two cultures at the exact same time?
    4. What is the purpose of culture?
    5. What should be the purpose of culture?
    6. What does a person who practices "black culture" or "African culture" or "Moorish culture" or "Hebrew Israelite Culture" do that no one else does?
The objective of this broadcast is to determine the best use of the word, "culture," in the process of replacing the system of white domination with a system of justice.
