Each month we've been taking your questions about the sections of the bible that we've been reading and then spending some time talking through some possible answers. This month it was Joshua, Acts and 1 from the Psalms. You can jump through to the questions at these points:
1. (1:39) What is the book of Jashar mentioned in Joshua 10:13?
2. (14:00) In Joshua 18:7 it says the Levites get no inheritance, yet in Joshua 21:1-3 the Israelites give them pasture lands and livestock as their inheritance. Have they gone against what the Lord said, or did He change His mind?
3. (19:01) Joshua is such a G! Why is he not thought more highly of in the church compared to characters like Moses, Paul and others?
4. (27:32) Why were Paul and his companions kept from preaching the word in the province of Asia by the Holy Spirit in Acts 16:6-7?
5. (36:15) Psalm 23 says "Your rod and staff they comfort me" how can they bring comfort? What does this phrase mean?
6. (45:36) In Acts 19:1-7 did all who had received Johns' baptism need to be baptised a second time?
(This question led to some further discussion and questions around the topics of repentance, sin and the holy spirit).
