This week Jo took us through Psalm 31 and the journey of pleading, praising and lamenting that David went on and how it led him into deeper relationship with God.

This week Heidi took us through Psalm 27, looking at the context of the life of David and how in the midst of many things he was able to hold on to and remain confident of the goodness of the Lord.

Each month we've been taking your questions about the sections of the bible that we've been reading and then spending some time talking through some possible answers. This month it was Luke's gospel. You can jump through to the questions at these points:

1. (2:45) Can you explain Luke 22:38 in view of Matthew 26:51-52?

2. (14:34) In the Gospels there are many miracles we can relate to and identify with, but who can when it comes to the demonic man in chapter 8, how would we know the difference between him and those who have ill mental health, which of us has experienced the horrors of this story?

3. (42:19) Please can you explain Luke 12:8-10 (especially verse 10). Does this mean that when we see the Spirit move, but deny that it is God, are we not forgiven if we repent of that?

This week we heard 4 testimonies of how God led people through unexpected storms, and Matt shared some key ideas from Luke 8 about how we can trust Jesus to lead us through the storms we experience.

This week Barb took us through some of the healing miracles of Jesus, showing us how Jesus healed from a place of love, compassion, peace and authority. Following this Jesus sent out the 12, and the 72, to go and do the same and she challenged us that we too are called to become like Jesus bringing healing to our world.

This week Matt took us through Luke 2 and unpacked how, like in Mary's life, there is often more going on in our difficult situations than we might at first realise, and he shared some thoughts from the passage on how we can discover what God is up to.

1. (0:46) 1 Corinthians 11:20-21 & 33. In these passages it says we should eat and drink of the body of Christ together as one and not as individuals. Why as one family do we not bring our bread and wine back to our seats and wait for each other, sharing and remembering the Lord together as one body?

2. (14:58) 1 Corinthians 7:29 - Does this mean that if a man has a wife he should live as if he is single? Is this not wrong, should he not honour his wife and a wife honour her husband?

3. (21:29) Paul and Women:

This week Dennis took us through the covenant God made with Israel and the blessing and the curses that would follow if they listened to and obeyed the Lord.

We know that our God is good. We know that we live in His abundant grace and blessing. Yet we Christians still face problems. This week Matt unpacks some things we can learn from the Israelites' story about living in the promises of God while facing all kinds of problems, whether on the inside or on the outside.
